As cool as Matilda McQuaid is, we don’t really need to see her face talking for 4 minutes when we could be seeing images of the exhibition and the objects in it. I mean, honestly… 🙄

Anyone know why the intro to "High Plains Hardware" (S1 E3) is a little different? As far as I can tell, it's the only episode where the music is altered. I actually like it better.

Got to see the exhibition today and was blown away. That such an artistic powerhouse isn't a household name is nothing short of a crime! Thank you for introducing me to her work, and thank you Cooper Hewitt curatorial and Es for making such a fantastic exhibit!

Thank you so much for posting and sharing your knowledge of these purses. I read your book "The Miser's Purse and found it to be fascinating. I have miser's purse that is made of silver chainmail and has three sliding rings but the middle is a silver braided handle and appears to be soldered on the ring and has two silver square sliders to adjust for the wrist. I've tried finding information on it but each person I've contacted know's nothing about it. I was told not to clean it though I'd like to so as to keep it maintained and not take away the patina. The people at my local antique store were about as intrigued with it as I was when I acquired it as they had their phones out and taking pictures. I'm happy to share pictures if you'd like. I've just never seen anything quite like it other than a more modern chainmail miser's purse on the Regency purse museum website, I tried to contact the owner but there was no answer to my email. Thanks again for a wonderful book and ease of understanding these purses with this video.

I'm a hewett from New zealand. And can't seem to go to far back in family tree. I do know my grandfather took his family to the states in the 50s. I have footage of it on a USB stick. Strangely there were two pilots in nz that went by the same name at the same time

Thank you so very much.... We have studied under Abraham Park (s. Korea) until his passing, and he taught us that the genealogies of Joktan are the same . They condensed so much into one name each generation that when you open up their meaning and apply the events of that time it creates a living history that defines the Time and Hope of the people.

In my opinion, the opening theme and its imageries capture the true heart of the impoverished Americans. Desperation mixed with blind faith. There are 2 sides to America. The high and mighty Captains of the World and the abandoned and forgotten blue collar workers which built country for decades before America transitioned to a service based economy.

What if they continued the other seasons with the same actors and theme of these, would be amazing. Season 1 its a completely on another level another different tv show paragoned to the other seasons
