I am sooooo grateful for your work! It's very difficult to find music for our LARP dance group, as many musicians get too creative when recording, so their music becomes unfit for dancing. However, you provide the best medieval dance music I have ever found. You play your instruments beautifully, the songs are just the right length, it's easy to hear the beat, the tempo is perfect, and the sound quality is amazing. Thank you very, very much from Germany

Cool. Always a good choice of songs. My Playford's dancing master book doesn't have this one. What instruments do you use? Have a Renaissance recorder?
@musicacalamus141610 ай бұрын
you will not find this tune in the "the english dancing master" by playford, because its an old french tune. the main instruments are rauschpfeifen by the great builder Christian Dreier from Germany.

A very nice piece. I did a search on its history and found it was written in 1698. Seems rather later than the music of most your posts. Do you have a prefered time period you select tunes from?
@musicacalamus141610 ай бұрын
we are coming from the larp and reenactment community, so we don't claim to be 100 percent authentic and just play what our friends like to dance. we even play modern tunes in medieval style, but this is a different topic 😂
