Makes a lot of sense, I just realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's crazy! Although what he previously talked about was pretty decent, it was difficult to follow, I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much simpler and potent now!

I'm sorry, I probably won't be making any more videos for this class as they take too much time/energy to make when my own students are not even watching them. However, if you look under my BIOL 2117 playlist (Microbiology), the video for Chapter 5 - Microbial Metabolism does cover much of the same material from chapters 8-10 (metabolism, cellular respiration, and photosynthesis) in this class. I also have some videos from other classes on genetics, biotechnology, and evolution that have some overlap with this class you may find useful. Best of luck in your course!

@@WGTCBiology I really love the fact the your are using the Latest Biology textbook by Campbell, that is edition number 12! It's just heartbreaking that you stopped at chapter 7. If your a lover of Biology, you would have that passion and drive to continue and finish this process however time consuming it may be. We all have time, we make time in our busy schedules. I myself work 60 hrs every two weeks as a telemetry nurse, that is 12 hrs days x5 days every two weeks. I've been an RN for the past 20 yrs now. I also have been taking classes in college in pursuit of a BS in biology, not because I want to switch to another career, but mainly because of my love of knowledge in the field of biology. I am sure if you continue to encourage your students to watch these videos, your views will go up. If you derive some of the test questions from these videos, and they are informed of that, yes they will watch these videos. My point is to not give up. I watch them. Your videos have made me more knowledgeable of biology.

@@Jesus_Christ_Conquers Thank you for the kind words, but the videos just became too time consuming and labor intensive to produce 2 chapters per week when I only have 5 students in this class as opposed to 100+ to keep up with in my 7 other courses this semester. 1 video takes around 5-6 hours to produce between making the powerpoint, recording, editing, and uploading. I am also currently 7.5 months pregnant with a 3 year old at home, so that consumes much of my time and energy outside of my other classes as well. Maybe if I teach this course online again next year I will get to make more videos. Best of luck to you in your studies!
@Jesus_Christ_Conquers3 жыл бұрын
@@WGTCBiology Thanks for your reply. I understand your circumstances now. Hopefully you will teach this course next year and will have time by then to produce these types of videos as well as they are presented wonderfully.
