My condolences to Beccai and Abigail, your loss is shared..be comforted, for in due season, though now separated by the gulf of death, soon you'll behold your mom eye to eye. And so, our challenge is to remain faithful till then, and through Christ Jesus who gives the strength and who also tasted death, and conquered it...He's the hope of all those who believe that He rose again. I cor 15:51-58. You may also want to read The Great Controversy Ch 40.. you'll be mightily comforted. Till then, lets remain faithful.

John 11:45-53 Presents to us the two clases, the leaders and the led. The jews which came to mary and seen the things which Jesus did, believed on Him...but some went their ways to pharisees and told them what things Jesus had done...then the chief priests and the pharisees convened a council and plotted to kill Jesus. Therefore my submission is thst the Pharisees were and are the leaders, and the members who show the same characteristics are the ones who have taken in the leaven/teachings of the pharisees.

I believe from the latest report that some folk has been offended by my comments below, some read offence while all I commented on the interpretation thereof. If someone was listening carefully, they would have noted that at minute 19.03, it is said that the pharisees are the church members, and to that I disagree a according to the scriptures. The verses earlier read..mark 8:15 Jesus says; 15And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. Clearly as even aforementioned by the minister...pharisees were the elites, teachers etc....and we know that as the word tells us. They believed to be the custodians of the knowledge of the law, equivalent to today's religious leaders who believe that you must go through their theological institutions to be qualified in the word and to teach. Note, nothing wrong with enlightenment as it expands one's horizons, but you may note how this teachers of the law who were also a political and social movement chided Jesus in mathew 13:55-57; 54And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were. astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?55Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?56And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?57And they were offended in him And by jesus saying the following in mathew 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. He was warning the disciples and hence the people to be aware if the poisonous teachings of the pharisees, likening them to the leaven that affects the whole bread of which the people here are represented by bread if we're to understand the leaven being the erroneous teachings or application of the law or the word of God. Jesus continues to describe the pharisees; Matthew 23:15,16 15Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.16Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor Jesus goes on to tell us who the pharisees are and what they did. Mathew 23: 29Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,30And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.32Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Jesus also talks about the shepherds and the sheep mathew 9:36, Jesus having compassion over the scattered sheep of israel lacking spiritual guidance to make them wise unto salvation. From the above, its clear that the pharisees are the Leaders, their leaven or teachings induced to the people causes them to become twice the children of hell, the magnitude of erroneous teachings is massive. All this is to make a point that the pharisees are the Leaders. Now, what should this leaders do, they should humble themselves like Gamaliel and others who saw Jesus for what He was...more than just a good teacher, but God incarnate.

Pastor, the Pharisees represented the Leaders of the church, not the members, it was the leaders first and the taught. No wonder Jesus describes the blind leading the blind.mathew 15:14.
