I flew across the country to go see this exhibit. It's one of the most incredible and beautiful things I have ever experienced. I am writing about it now for my book project. I am thankful for this channel! It was was such a treat to hear the thinking and inspiration and choices behind From the Deep in particular and this conversation opened up so much for me.

It's wonderful to hear Regina talk about the meaning, the materials, and the making of her work!

Why try to make an outdoor monument in wax. It is just wasting energy and community enthusiasm on something temporary. Just light the candle let it melt over a weekend and end the effort and exercise with dignity. Foolish to try to preserve this statue? Or raise the funds to cast it in bronze? But I expect it's just a vague representative, only worthy of a weekend of recognition and commitment. Good intentions melting foolish hearts.

Demetriband Sharif thank you for so much for this rich conversation. I just came upon Sharif’swork for the first time the Alberta Brenda gallery in NYC. I found the work to be quite awesome, somewhat sacred and intimidating by its scale and life likeness. The work causes one to pause and reflect. This interview gave me tremendous insight into the artist’s psyche. The interactions of the two of you worked well in terms of delivering the goods. Thank you.❤

Does this dude have any concept of an "inside voice"? That woman has the patience of a saint with him screaming in her face for 2 hours.

This a racist exhibit. This isn't what an individual may think, it's Marxist bullshit for Africa. You have been reported.🧐

It is amazing to see this! Keith and I went to school together. I found this after another childhood friend posted about Keith in his FB posts that highlights individuals in our home community for BHM. Wow, so awesome to see Keith's brilliance!

I can’t believe Georgina parents kept the fact that her biological father was black. This emotionally had to take its toll on this young lady. I am so happy that she wrote a book which helped many people. Wonderful interview. 😊❤️

Wow! I guess the word wasn't out that this film was made! Smh. I've been a fan since the 70's. I appreciate her music and her style. 😢 Because Betty Davis was different and a woman! Way ahead of her time! Nobody in the industry understood the assignment! I bet if she was a white woman, she would've got the respect and a national stage to show us her pure funk! I got her and followed her until I couldn't find anything. I still funked out to her music and to this day I still do! I wished I could've been her friend. I would've talked her out of all of her mental breakdowns! I'm glad that me and others honored her and her music. Sleep in heavenly peace queen. I'm still rocking with you.

Would loved to have seen some input from The Founder of PROPA , Puerto Rican Organization for the Performing Arts Melania Maldonado Diaz , an independent Scholar who has for over 20 years researched and made sure to bring to the forefront the many contributions that Women have made in Bomba from the very early days to the present . She has put together multiple Bomba Research Conferences .

Marry by 26 for the health of your children ladies. Be fit. Be feminine. 99% of BW problems solved. 38% of Black pregnancies are terminated in America over half in NYC. 82% of BW are overweight mostly obese. Black babies in Houston are born with Syphilis. Please research THE NEGRO PROJECT to discover how they destroyed the BW. White woman Margaret Sanger is a hero to many and a devil to others.
