this saw has a flaw , the bevel locking knob just does not hold it's position firm , other than that it does appear to be a good saw but as a stairbuilder , i need to cut beveled outside miters , this needs to be fixed!

It leaks hard and the lid sprays when you open and close it. Awful, messy product. If you've got it on the wheel bin every nook and cranny of your bin lid will be full of whatever is in the mug by the time you've got to where you're going.

So confusing. The video title says "4 1/2 - 5inch" but everyone in the video is saying 6inch, and judging by the size of the wheels, it's definitely a 6 inch in the video. This title needs updated

Nice to see that tradesman in the us might actually hang a door from scratch, usually hang doors with a nail gun 🤔

2 off then broke in 3 months The right arm aluminum snapped in same place. I love the dust collection and haw lights is . I like to see Dewalt make stronger aluminum arm that doesn’t snap.

Just got mine today, a nice upgrade from the skeleton jig which already was great. Now I can do 5/8 radius hinges and it's also able to do bigger hinges for thicker doors

@rickyperkins232 8 ай бұрын
Question if you set the jig to the exact placement of your hinges do you have to reset to go from left to right swing or visa versa?

Are the motors still self destructing?
@johnbeyke8486
@johnbeyke8486 9 ай бұрын
Good question! For twice the cost of a corded version you get to see your investment short out! And only $400.00 to replace the motor, which will short out a little later! So much fun!

3" is the shortest I've been able to thread a pipe and that was probably a little too short - maybe 3-1/2" is better to get a full set of threads. 3" worked - used a coupling and another piece of stock or I wouldn't have been able to grip it with anything. Great tool - no complaints...

DeWalt did not equip this unit with a 120VAC plug-in feature like the PREVIOUS DHS790. They are GREEDY & want to force customers to buy more batteries. I'll skip this model. They could at least make a 120V AC to 60v FlexVolt battery adapter! Oh yeah, that would cost them battery sales. Perhaps I'll design, build & market one...

How does regenerative breaking effect life expectancy of the battery? They have limited number of "full recharge" expected, correct?

Dewalt dose not make a adapter to run off a 110 volt extension cord. It only works when you get the battery. Also you have to buy the charger and battery separately most likely you will what two of them so the battery's are about $ 200 each then the charger at about another $ 150. So the saw is 700 +400+150 so around $1300 ish. Not solid in a kit .I think Dewalt could do better. As for now it's NO.

@@tonytunnell9873 no adapter yet, o bought mine for the two reasons, I’m already on the 60v Dewalt platform and I’m going battery where I can to reduce load on the solar setup for my shop. As far as jobs go, though this is smaller and lighter than my old one, it’s to big for moving from job to job with, so I use it for my shop only.

@@sowingthelaw I have a friend who has the old version of it with the 2 batteries and it is a very nice thought I like it a lot. I do use a saw on the jobs I ended up buying the festtool kapex .I instal high end millwork. mostly work on churches. Travel a lot 16 foot trailer and a duramax.

Bought mine this Black Friday for $699. Got a free 9 AH battery with it for the sale. Still twice the cost of a corded version, and does not have the cord conversion kit that the old 790 version had. Let’s see if this motor shorts out like the 790.
