Good Ole Lem. Rumour has it that he turned down a career with Royal Opera around this time. A great missed musical moment, one can only imagine what Puccini would have sounded like with Lem taking the lead.

Lemmy, totally in his element, bless him, showing respect to a band that was a lot more inspirational and important to many people, musicians, and fans alike for over 50 years! Absolute respect to all of MC5 RIP!

We all found out shortly before Lem passed that he’d been almost completely deaf for many years. So it really shows his chops that he could (mostly) stay on key without having a monitor blasting in his face

I'm here to say Farewell to a Great American. I've just read the news. This video here, in the company of Squire Kilmister himself, is the perfect historic eulogy one can start High Time again with. All my admiration to (and inspiration from) mr Wayne ''That's Us!'' Kramer.

Loved the MC5 since i first heard them as a kid in the mid 70's, loved Hawkwind with Lemmy too & Motorhead since he started that band too but this is a rare treat I never knew existed till now! respect for sharing it with us man.

Let's stop calling Nicke Anderson the kid in this Pirate Convention, Left Hand Path came out 33 years ago ffs!, and he was the drummer. Lemmy had always enthroned the MC5 as one of his reverences, so everythings falls into place on this stage!

Lemmy wanted Motorhead to sound like the MC5. Big overlaps with Hawkwind, Pink Fairies, Deviants, Mick Farren and Wayne Kramer. Lemmy here in the band he'd always wanted to be in. No Motorhead, no Damned, without MC5. And no Iggy.

Lemmy was one of a kind & to hear him mellow down & play some sweet acoustic with this much melody is no surprise ,he was a full blown pro & was way before Motorhead. Not hard to see he doesn't want to put that Gibson down , I need not mention Phil as we all know his greatness . Simple song but to match this you need to tune down 1/2 step & you'll be there .
