There are a bunch of these fossils in a federal site in the western Nebraska panhandle. These things are BIG! Think grizzly bear in size.

@@Epoch_Now Smilodon is cool in all but there are so many fascinating groups mammalian carnivores throughout time. not to mention the predatory creatures of the Cenozoic that were not mammals. I always thought of an animated film that takes place during the Cenozoic like the Ice Age movies but would feature another predator beside the ever so popular sabretooth like how Disney's Dinosaur used a Carnotaurus instead of a T rex.
