You make that untamed build look easy. How long did it take you to master it?

Thanks! I would say it took about a month to feel confident in pretty much every situation. There is always things I can be doing better on it too. The first week was a lot of just throwing myself into bad situations to get the muscle memory though.

Hey friendo. first of all, thanks for the vids. i loved full melee ranger roaming since vanilla, so it warms my heart so see another person still going for that :) got a question though. i feel like ever since the maces dropped they feel somewhat mandatory. do you think a GS/Ham build or something similar can still me made viable somehow? mace kinda have everything, so it seems hard to not pick them up in a melee power build. but i really dont feel them (or warhorn for that matter^^)

@@rhabarberpete Cheers! Appreciate the support. You can do without maces and swap them for GS or sw/wh. You change your play style a bit cause the benefit of maces is you can brawl way better and pressure downs. I had good success with hammer sw/wh somewhat recently. With SW or GS you need to play more in and out but it works decently. With spear coming out (while technically not melee) GS or sw wh will be the best pairing imo which will be a nice change.

Im currently running GS Ham. it feels like i need more condi cleans though (i lose out on mace 4). so i'm still figuring out what to use wildernessknowledge+crithealRelic or carnivore+condicleanseRelic What i learned about this untamed ranger in general. ppl in groups really underestimate you. they don't respect the bonk^^

@@rhabarberpete I think the crit healing relic is worth more than cleanse. You could take the untamed trait that's 2 cleanses every 10 sec (and lost haste/stab on cc). With GS/Ham id maybe consider if I was having cleanse issues. Though taking the WS cleanse traits is probably just a more standard way to address it too. People don't realize the burst you have for sure, really under estimated. Which is nice haha.

Same gear as untamed cause I'm lazy. You can swap to runes with vitality/toughness if you wish.

I'm guessing by the 19k hp it's zerker? I really enjoy these because I've been trying to make melee untamed work and I can see the gaps in my skills here. The choices to swap unleashed while on hammer to get more cc and then combo it with unleashed hammer skills, or swapping to get a stealth field and then engage are things I'm not doing yet. Thanks man.

Melee untamed and untamed in general is all about practice and muscle memory so you don't have to think. I had to practice doing the stealth field as much as I can cause it makes a huge difference. Build is berserker assassin's mix so you get 70% crit chance before fury. Storm spirit can be changed to protect me for another stun break or quickening zephyr can be swapped to protect me for better power defense (but lose out on cleanse). Burrowing shark can be swapped to jade turtle for a more defensive setup. Shark is great for chasing with it's port knockdown.

Whats ur stat split ? Is it 350 int 100 str or 300 str 150 int, ur bb dmg is insane i might be sleeping on shirking empower damn

315 str, 150 int. BB got hit really hard by the recent bug fix though and lost 7-15% DMG so I'm debating making a change to attuned leather pants for 350 and 150 (except the 350 str perk for DMG on abilities doesn't affect BB so idk if it's worth it). I rate SE very highly, especially on BB. But I also have a now illegal perk set from the old champions amulet so I don't have to give up stamina recovery.

@@HobozertGaming yeah its a bigh chunk of dmg, might end up getting some harnessing gear but im already almost empower capped with the tumblers + ring + amulet, dont think there is a clear fix sadly

@@fairoman3820 Yeah it's part of why I swapped from tumblers to featherweight. Even harnessing isn't worth the slot over a defensive perk imo. Tbh I think BB is in a rough spot, the burst aspect has been hit so many times it's mostly used now just as an offhand with pesti. But because that's such a strong passive effect, the core BB kit isn't going to be buffed.
