Now THIS is what I love. A fleet of classic narrow gauge engines, all whistling together. Though, out of all the whistles in the line up, "Statfold" (The red Hunslet) has to have the best whistle. It has the most musical sound to it, especially since she has two chimes on that thing, as opposed to a simple bell whistle that all the others have.

Interesting valve gear on the engine in the first shot, was there any particular reason for such an unusual configuration?

No idea why I have never come across your great videos before now,,, im into all things steam ,,,, What a brave little loco ,,,, but your been a bit unfair expecting her to plough a drifts 12 foot deep in her scale,,, next time give her a fighting chance and get steamed up and out of the shed before so much has come down,,,,,

i do agree with ya there ..for than once when theres steam come to tamworth there is usualy a few that decide to tresspass which dus let the hobby down just to get a better picture than others :( ..ive been videoing at tamworth for a fair few years and ive never had a problem as i no a few of the staff are in to steam and heritage diesles and do turn a blind eye to this ...thanks for yoru comment though :)

No it's people who trespass on the railway that let the hobby down !! Like the one's who were track side on the left not shown in your video and even the few in front of you ! Filming on stations is a gamble and especially at Tamworth ! Nice clip though and thanks for sharing. Liam

Despite the plate on the engine, it was actually built in 1885. Had to get in there before everybody else who read this month's steam railway! What a cracking engine. Looks like great fun. I wish I lived a little closer.

Nice video. This was The Northern Belle working from Derby to Bath and was expected. I believe it was running on behalf of The Tree Tops Hospice. You also missed the Royal Scot on the low level at 0758 hours running from Milton Keynes to Carlisle and double headed by 47 760 and 47 500. It was due to be steam hauled from Crewe to Carlisle. I hope this is of help. Liked the clip.
