learning the top X amount of words in any language is very useful, learning vocab in isolation on Anki is not, i recommend adding sentences to each of the vocab so not only are you remembering words, you're understanding where they're used, unfortunately chat gpt wont teach you this, there are no short cuts.

It's an insult to say at 02:31 "instead of being a boomer and Googling for all of these resources..."-ChatGPT is known to hallucinate (the official term where it invents things that are not true), so why would someone not do proper research where a ChatGPT-only lesson plan that hallucinates would inadvertently sabotage hundreds of hours of learning. If anything, taking a boomer's advice should be seen as an accolade.

I heard a lot of plans -- but as an example learning Python -- once you get to point your happy with -- what is the plan? meaning -- do you want a job coding Python, and if not, do you want to make money with it in some other way ... Are you learning all these things to gain knowledge, basically I am asking, what is your plan about using the knowledge you gain?

I will tell you what I usually do, I have pdf of the books my exam's gonna be based on. so I copy a topic from pdf and ask chatgpt to make 'crisp study notes' and it does exactly that. Those notes are so amazing that Ive become adddicted to study everything this way.

Anyone cannot be a prompt engineer. While anyone can provide input prompts to produce simplistic AI output, it takes an expert level mastery of the English language and in-depth knowledge of the problem domain to guide AI to generate useful output.

I prefer premium version of chatgpt over human tutor. No one ever in my life has been sitting around with me for hours and answering me questions about Deep Learning from very basic questions like what is forward in this pytorch code to advance questions. We are living in good times

Very well made and helpful! I recommend telling ChatGPT to format it in way Anki can understand right away. For example for a cloze: your language {{c1::the language you want to learn}}. Then put all in an Excel sheet, save as csv and import to Anki. You can choose that a tab is where a new card starts so Anki knows when. This saves a lot of time and you could for example have a list of 100 sentences and their translations generated very fast (I follow the belief that whole sentences are better for learning a language). Look I'm a boomer (booo) You just wouldn't believe the text book I used to get an O level in French. Yap Yap Yap ChatGPT lots of promises and this is the way forward etc etc I'm sitting here hands open and asking where, when, how, how to I move into this system, who do I go to ???
