smoke just makes it look like the engine is fucked IMHO. but after a bit of thinking (was 8 months ago since i commented here XD) i THINK the idea is, more fuel = cooler pistons = more boost possible.

In most high performance applications of diesel combustion, there's lots of black smoke... so I guess it's easy to make the assumption that black smoke is a sign of high performance... or maybe they simply think it looks cool. Disregard environmental issues and it's quite a sight with a huge black pillar of smoke. What people don't seem to realise is that black smoke is a sign of incomplete combustion. Those people need to check out the Banks diesel dragracer. High performance _without_ smoke.

Hi, great job lads, I've watched all your vids. Do you mind me askin: If you dont have to modify the gearbox, what is the "conversion plate" for and where does it go?? I really want to do this with my major but dont have a clue how! Plus i have to find a v8 perkins ha, what sort of a truck did yer's come from? thanks!! and hope to hear back from ye!!
