Ik heb vroeger op school gezeten in Rhijngeest ,een oude sanatorium met op zolder een schockroom, een isoleercel en een klaslokaal vol met potten met hersenen, Paul Witteman kwam er filmen over jeugdpsychiatrie. En de grap is dat ik zelf ass heb 😂

I enjoyed the exhibit and thought the graffiti served its pupose allowing everyone who wanted to express themselves. BUT i though it was shameful and negligent of the museum staff to allow graffiti to be put on actual artworks. Unless solicited by the artist this was very disrespectful to them. The photos of artful costumes were almost completely blocked out. How might the artist feel if visiting, let say especially with friends or family to show with pride what they had accomplished - shameful. let alone other works such as collages that were marked over - again did the artists solicit this on their works.Thinking it was a free for all I thought it might be OK to take one of the little trophies. Ha ha I didn't but is that the sort of feeling the vandalism was meant to invoke. Again the bare walls makes up were fine, but the artwork truly shameful.

Canon uitbreiden is hoog tijd. Haar grenzen zijn absurd , vaak. Worden ook heftig verdedigd. Mooie video Mensen.

Ik begrijp,dat je alijd vernieuwd als museum maar wat wás het oude heerlijk om gewoon zélf doorheen te gaan ,je éigen pad te lopen Maar ,evengoed natuurlijk tóch...... Succes met de hele nieuwe aanpak !

This fantastic exhibition by the wonderful artist Willem van Genk has been extended to 3 May 2020 - although it's wise to check the Outsider Art Museum/Hermitage website before going, as many of the museums in Amsterdam have been forced to close temporarily in March.
