I hate the modern power girl design, she's all covered up and with leggings and a stupid 1990's jacket, even the more classic look version has her boots coming up too high. there was a much better DC direct version done back in it's hayday.

Platinum Guy Gardner just looks so much better (at least in photos) but that's only because they made original Guy look too dumpy-ish. I'm still not sure what I think about the removable face and hair plates.

Really hope to get the Guy platinum, as him with the yellow ring was my first introduction to the character. I'm just glad I was able to get ANY preorders in this morning and hope they actually process.

I´m hoping beyond hope that McFarlane decides to release Guy as a Red Lantern. He´s my second favorite GL after Hal but I think he was amazing as Red Lantern. And the Platinum TRIES very hard to fit the design of the orginal and can´t. However, had he gone Red Lantern would have worked. So....not sure about him. And you´re wrong with Fire and Ice. They were never a couple. That was a mistake. When DC decided to recreate the version of the Global Guardians where Fire and Ice first debuted in the Super Friends comic and move them officialy to DC proper they forgot Ice already existed. In the Super Friends comics she was called Ice Maiden. Later on they tried to fix it by establishing that there were two women with ice powers: Ice and Ice Maiden. Ice Maiden was either bisexual or lesbian and she did try to flirt with Fire but she wasn´t interested. And Ice Maiden became evil. That´s why some think there was something there but no. Fire and Ice are best friends. ...also, as someone that owns the Fire figure...it looks much better in person. I´m glad to own it as is. I wouldn´t want her without her powers on.

something isnt clear. on gamestop the link for power girl has image cards for both the collectors and platinum edition. there are not separate links for each figure. I already preordered the standard edition power girl (with the cape) but I want to pre order the platinum edition if possible. Can someone clarify?

Great video, in my opinion the figure they got most right was Guy Gardner, both the standard and Platinum, the power girl ended up being the weakest of the three, there should at least have been one more face in the package.
