Wearing a lanyard that you will never use and when you do the battery inside will be dead and over the years the only use will be for students to press and pull the alarms. A waste of money that sounds good at first, but in practicality it's a fail - for the same reason home security systems failed. The system will need maintaining, testing and think of your teachers 5 years from now still wearing these ridiculous lanyards that wear out, get lost and in the end will end up doing only one thing: reminding people to be scared.

Here's a fun video to teach your students about the difference between melody and harmony. Enjoy! @UX8E

Why do they teach "Do Re Min ..." without saying "C D E ..? It seems that is this school is in France or Italy.
@musiciseverywhere58785 жыл бұрын
Many countries use Do - Re -Mi, and in fact for singing solfege it is much simpler, once you get used to it as the syllables flow better in a vocal setting. I have lived in different countries and have learned both ways... each have their pros and cons... A B C is faster to write , better for chord symbols, but harder to sing.

This is good! I’m going to do this with my orchestra day one, adding alto clef, using 4 bars, and groups of 4, since my class is larger 👍

I have heard very positive comments from the students about this strategy. They love bringing their own ideas to the material and don't approach it as "taking notes." I want to use this next year with novel studies.

This classroom depicts fantastic energy! It is clear the students are focused, working, and also important, that they feel comfortable. Great job making all of that happen!

I like how you adapted the 'point' earning to motivate the older learners. You are very clear in giving your directions. Nice work!

Great joyful learning strategy to use, especially with math facts! I feel the students will master the facts better, especially when moving around the room and using visuals to display the facts.

This looks like a great way to review, as groups get a chance to discuss their answers with classmates and still hear the correct responses.

This strategy really helps the students memorize important concepts, and can be used across the curriculum. Great job implementing this! How did you get it to stay on the carpet?

Erin, this is a great activity. I like that the students start off with a statement, but then continue to discuss their responses with each other instead of rushing to the next topic. I love your choice for the ball it looks like the students enjoyed passing it around and it wasn't just a plain tennis ball. The students were very respectful towards each other and I like that they all participated and listened to what their classmates had to say.

I bet the students loved wearing the "sight word hats." This is such a fun way for the students to learn so many concepts. It would be neat to use this idea for other concepts where the children wear the hats for an extended period of time (i.e. every day for a week), each pertaining to a theme or concept to enhance their recognition/familiarity of the concept being addressed.

This video shows a memory game created using brain based research.Each student received two index cards, on the front students wrote a letter of the alphabet and the corresponding number (1A), on the back they needed to think of something we learned in LA that began with the letter on their card, as well as draw a picture representing the word.Together, we went through both sides of all of the cards, then students were shown only the front side and had to recall from memory what the word was.

Create a Business Card for a Literary or Historical Figure. Joyful learning activity - My name is? What is this person known for (accomplishment) single out just one of those activities on their business card. Students could also focus on a well-known aspect or on some lesser known achievement or interest. Share with the group their historical or literary figure
