The original version was short though only 1 and half hours compared to 2 and a half hours for Quinton Tarantino's version.

I think Keri Washington would have needed ten times the amount of air time in the movie for the greatest love story. The Jamie Foxx character brought a lot of love through his vengeance, but more so persistence to liberate his wife.
