Hi Rob I recently got one of these for light guns, works great for that. There's also a LG CT-29M0RX listed locally as well I thought about getting it to use the ps2 ilink for time crisis, its silver with the teal strip at the bottom. It has the same Tube number as the golden eye but with the LG philips label on it, I wonder if Philips did anything other than just inject money and they just printed new labels with the joint venture logo on it and no actual quality increase.

Recently got one of these for free and have read that there is one of the format settings that apparently switches off the 100hz processing. If you select format 1, there are actually 3 sub-settings for this that can be toggled by pressing up and down on the BeoRemote. I'm yet to try it with a lightgun, but this might be useful for someone out there (if it works!).

In our previous home we had a big Orion TV, it wasn't good at all! All inputs were on the back, but... The image of the cable tuner caused ghost image on the video inputs! 😶 It had a "16:9" mode, but that just shrunk the picture vertically, making the three color stripes of the deflection visible, the image stayed between black bars. 👎 What a cheap garbage...

Out of stock, possibly forever? It's Sept. 2024 and I see this: "The 2600RGB is out of stock and is no longer economically viable to manufacture in its current form. It is due for a resdesign, but I currently don't have an estimate on when it will be ready."

You got the lenses backwards, the one inside is the fresnel, outside is the lenticular grooved screen. The DPO goes darker in a dark room, brighter in a bright room. That set should have 9 point convergence, the wide screen versions all did, and the 4:3 sets did later in their life. The later sets also used Panasonic P16 tubes, the fact yours has the Hitachi tubes it may be too early to have the 9 point convergence. The fact it has the old convergence board it is probably still the older revision. Before you go too far with pot adjustments you'd be wanting to adjust the G2 as per the service manual, adjust the green and red focus pots, the blue MUST stay slightly defocussed for correct white balance, now adjust the astig rings, then remove and clean the lenses, now focus the lenses. THEN adjust the pots to get it all aligned. This is really quite easy to do, it just takes a while. The image will be loads better after it is all calibrated correctly, and your Saturn guns will hit the corners no problem. The Hitachi you spoke of is kinda useless for retro games because it has an internal scaler that can't be turned off, the deflection circuitry in those sets only scans to 31.5kHz or something around that. It'll also have Panasonic P16 tubes which are vastly superior to any other tubes used in rear projection sets.

Hello, I bought a Loewe Xelos M155 VT TV, Phillips tube (made in UK). The geometry is crooked in the lower line, it is crooked (wedge down). I read forums, many people write that many have this problem on Loewe crt. Is this normal?

I recently bought one of these as centrepiece of my retro lounge. After giving it a wack, I fixed the red line and can get a sort of pic from it. Needs something done to make the picture better so a recap is probably my first step. Any idea how you would get a manual for this? Service or at least user. An added bonus would be a remote.

Hello, I had a speaker next to my Loewe Xelos M155 VT CRT (Phillips Made in UK Tube), I turned off the TV so that it would cool down, and turned it on, the rainbow appeared, but now the geometry is crooked on the lower left side, it is skewed. Tell me what I can do?

Hello, I placed a Bluetooth speaker next to a Loewe CRT TV (Phillips tube) and after 10 minutes I noticed a rainbow spot in the lower corner..) I removed the speaker and the spot disappeared, the TV also rebooted, but a small gray spot (or light spot) remained in the corner. The transistor works, a characteristic click when turned on... but the spot in the corner still remained..) Please tell me, will this go away on its own?

what a mother load, definitely a lot of very cool rare pickups - that old oscilloscope is very interesting looking. was curious to see yet another native SCART widescreen tube - will we be seeing a review on the sansui 76cm? that 9-pin IBM monitor would be very desirable to the right collector i'd say, it'd be cool to run the "8088 mph" demo on it, which i believe takes advantage of some more obscure tricks native to the old IBM video connector. definitely looks like a bunch of that stuff hit the garden soil at some point. crazy what you find out on your end of town - you gotta be in it to win it.
