School Daze was my movie BITD! And yes, I did love me some Tisha Campbell and Jazmine Guy back then as well. This scene was a great performance piece for that movie. A perfect sound of jazz and blues. The production of the song is next level. It's brilliant how each of the instruments play off each other to get their piece in. From the strings, to the drums, to the guitar, to the keys, and above all the different horns section. You can play it over and over to find something new. I don't care what people say, this song is one of his greatest arrangements. The lyrics are cleverly written to describe each of the 5 women as months of March, April, May, June and July and how he felt while trying to get over a breakup but fails because all the women he dated only reminded him of the one that got away. Brilliant song and my favorite off that album. The album itself is underrated, songs like It's About That Walk, She Spoke To Me, When The Lights Go Down, There Is Lonely, Old Friends 4 Sale, Sarah, Extraordinary are all good. Love it. Thanks Deb for posting up this vid. I was always “google-lee” over Justine Bateman when she played as “Malorie” on the 80’s television sitcom 0:02 “Family Ties”. I didn’t know she had starred in so many movies, including this one. So I went to eBay and ordered me a sealed copy of it on DVD. Can’t wait til’ it arrives so I can check it out.👍🏽
