Luckily, The the two years I came, it was scorching and I'm in a electric wheelchair. I have been helped at many other rallies when it's been wet!

Just a suggestion for you rambunctious bunch of rowdy boys. How about doing Jelly Jelly, by The Allman Brothers. Your keyboard player, who apparently is known as Tony these days, although used to be known as a few aliases back in the day, such as Tex, Rocky, Pancho or Ant, would feature quite nicely on this rather groovy song. As long as he didn’t leave any presents for anyone, like he used to leave on the building sites, eg, on the window cills for painters, and on the top of a freshly upturned hod of mortar for the brickies. Oh yes, they were the days!!

I have been going to the show since 2007 with my Dad. I don't remember the 2012 Great Dorset steam fair as my memories are a bit muddled about it. so I am glad that some one took some footage of it. can't believe that was ten years ago

This reminds me of the USS Silversides, a museum ship in Michigan. They allow groups like scouts to spend the night onboard.

That's what I love about steam rallies. You've got Bellerophon and an Erie steam shovel in the same event as a Sinclair C5!

GH2 outclasses the RX100 but I think it has a lot to do with the user. The GH2 shots were definitely more artistic and also stabilised with a tripod!

24% casualties in the WW2 US submarines? Gonna have to check that. The 8th AF had a horrible attrritiom record in 19r2.

I first visited in the early 1990's, and really enjoyed my visit. Now, over 25 years later, I have been back twice, this year and last year, (both in August) and I was very pleased with the additions to the town. I hope to be back next year.

lovely stuff, what gear do you use?
@Infothing6 жыл бұрын
Hi Andy, I used the trusty GH5 with 12-35 and 35-100mm the night footage was with the 20mm 1.7. The ambient sound was with the diminutive but popular Zoom H1. Thanks for stopping by, see you there in August

Hi there Lombard Liam. It was such a long time ago that i'd forgotten myself. I do normally put attributions in the text. However, feeding this through Sound Hound it turns out to be "Pace, Pace" by Cafe del Mar. Thanks for popping by
@ImChrisLuke7 жыл бұрын
was any of this shot at less than f8?
@Infothing7 жыл бұрын
Hi there Chris Well, as unlikely as it seems, this entire sequence was shot at a fixed 2.8. Though this becomes more apparent when I changed over to the longer lens at around 5:13. Most of the wider shots were at the 12mm end of the 12-35 and the longer shots were more at the 100mm end of the 35-100 lens. So although there does not seem too much focal variance early on, this was intended to be a 'Real world' test as opposed to the extreme auto focus testing we have seen by the professionals amongst us. Thanks for stopping by Regards
@ImChrisLuke7 жыл бұрын
Dave Holden wow! That's the deepest 2.8 I've ever seen! Thanks :)
