Beautiful. The sopranos were especially lovely, and I know that part is quite difficult.

Bravo! I sang this in 8th grade for Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) and it was so fun to learn. The lyrics are great and the notes are super fun to master for an inexperienced choir as well as an experienced one. I think you guys definitely did it justice! I don't remember if there was an Alto 1/2 split, but when there are Alto splits in song I'm an Alto 2, so I definitely sang the bottom line for this one.

My choir is singing this this year! I admire this performance, but wish you had better coordination (blend, starting times for each pitch...), blend, rhythm (quatrter note triplets were more like dotted quarters and two eighths), and more dynamic differences would definitely add to the piece. But it was definitely well sang!

You guys sound great! Singing this in my high school choir at our concert this month! I sing with the 2nd sopranos and I have to say...it's quite complicated and the song is pretty lengthy. I just hope we are able to get it all together before the concert!

This sounds great! I love the guy that sings over everyone with that high b in the chorus section! I'm doing an equity production of this in a few moths and I'm soo excited!

My father had read the book and said it is kind of odd and not really a children's book. Something about baby seals being hit by clubs and the main character wondering why all his friends look so funny without their skin... the poem is very good though.

It is a lovely rendition of the piece but after singing it with my own choir, nothing can replace those deep male voices! I've sung both versions and love both but I always have this deep love of hearing male voices in this song!

This song is absolutely beautiful. A few of the people from our choir last year got the honor to go to new york and sing this at carnegie hall, and it honestly sounded so amazing. Eric Whitacre is a genius.

This is so cool. I just took a trip with the Orchestra to UNI (from Muscatine Iowa). I am also in the Women's choir at Muscatine HS and we are doing this song for our final concert. It's pretty awesome to know that the college just did this 2 years ago. :) Sounds AMAZING by the way! Great job! :)

Eric Whitacre is perfection. Not only is the THE most attractive composer to ever exist, but his work is just so entrancing. The atonal qualities and the strange harmonies he puts in there are just amazing. Did I mention how hot he is? My director has a picture of him on her desk, signed. She treasures it.
