I have a very distinct memory of riding the bus home and Jesse was singing "Zero" by Smashing Pumpkins at the top of his lungs. He can sing with the Billy Corgan rasp pretty well.

Since as some believe it all come from nowhere and nothing, what is the big difference if it goes back to nothing and nowhere?
@mokeefeman
@mokeefeman 8 жыл бұрын
+BrotherXification This is nihilism, not insight. The source of nonbeing is not a trick to relieve us of responsibility, it's a tool to free us from detachment. Detachment is not a pass, it's a state of mind that allows to identify and maintain the sacred. Without maintenance even the sacred can disappear from view, and in your view nothing is sacred. That is not what nothing is, or is about.

+Michael O'Keefe I think it is more a psychological tool to free us from attachment. How are you freed from detachment? Detachment is a pass. If I am not attached, I am independent and owe you nothing. If we are attached, then we have to consider our dependence and responsibility. Most philosophies seem to have as their main goal, relieving us of dependence and responsibility. Of course that is a generalization. But anyone aware of our universe's cosmology would know eventually that the physical world as we know it is all going up in smoke in our Sun's supernova. What will it all mean then?
@mokeefeman
@mokeefeman 8 жыл бұрын
Nothing is not psychological. Detachment is no more free than attached. It is just detached. Freeing oneself, and freeing oneself from detachment is important, but not as important as detaching in the first place. Anyone who can do that can free themselves from it in a heartbeat.

Humans, at some point, had yet to make an entry onto this planet and now that were here were heading for extinction !! How else can one view the direction humans have taken since were polluting our air,water,and earth at a rate that has become irreversable.Furthermore,genetically modifying seeds and their reproduction,of which,took nature millions of years to adapt are being tampered with by irresponsible companies like Monsanto who put profits ahead of integrity,outrageous !! China,India with over a billion in population each is going full force chewing up the World's resources is just an example of why I said we are doomed and headed for extinction,period !!

+Skully Anderthal Our own universe is programmed to destroy itself. I'm not saying we should wreck the place, but it is all destined to be destroyed anyway. Even if we do a great job of preserving the earth, someone's grandkids will die in the supernova.

Ian Curtis died 32 years ago today. :( His music lives on... I hear dozens of new bands every week from all over the world through all the CDs and submissions sent to me, but nothing ever comes close to the music of Joy Division. Life in sound. Thank you for the music, Ian. - Brian, Music Vice

Rody Walker is one of the most honest and no-BS people I have ever interviewed. Top bloke. I have no idea what happened with those 6 seconds of Warped Tour answers being scrubbed out from this but if you want to hear Rody speak candidly about Warped Tour then you can read and listen to my first interview with him on Music Vice - click the link above that I added in the description. - Brian Banks, Music Vice.

QUIT F"N WITH YOUR CAMERA damn man haha just leave it alone dude!! Do you have your cracked out girlfriend running the camera or what I mean seriously if you want to make a legit music web site and do interviews A) get yourself a decent camera and B) Do some prep work and have the camera set up before the interview.I usually laugh at people who get all upset at things like this but this is just rediculous. Whatever you do never ever do an interview like this again and leave the GF at home haha.
