@@doctorcrafts the fact that if he was 100 yds ahead when those waves broke at the rocks he probably would have been killed . If you rewatch the video , that last wave was deadly and came out of nowhere .

Thank you. Those were my only two attempts to roll the Oru. A friend tried to do it the next week. We were in shallow water and he resorted to cheating by pushing off the bottom with his paddle. I've seen videos. It can be done. The high back deck makes it difficult though.
