My ranking of every villian F Teir: Lyric Never even played it but i feel like no one will disagree Zavok We all know why hes here D Teir: Biolozard It has good relation to shadow but its not really a main villian, it just kinda shows up Just putting the story book villians here since idk much about then, sorry Time eater Another monster of the weak, but this one doesnt feel near as impactful C Teir: Fang Fangs basically just a hired gun, and for what he is hes not bad, but not outstanding Dark gaia Another monster of the week, nothin special Eggman negative I dont know much about him but hes aight i guess B Teir: Knuckles Initially this would be A or S but origins ruins it for me The reason is, in the cutscene eggman says sonic and tails are trying to get the chaos emeralds AND rule over the flickys Yet you cant tell me knuckles never saw eggman putting flickys in badniks, or sonic saving said flickys Infinite Had the makings of a great character but kinda fell flat which is why hes not S The main thing i dont like is that his entire grudge is against shadow yet the whole time he just fights sonic A Teir: Metal Overlord Ima be honest i just dont care much for overlord, part if this is my bias against him being in shadow gens instead of infinite but honestly it feels overated to me S Teir: Eggman For obvious reasons Metal Sonic Its metal sonic, do i really need to explain? Its the perfect symbolism for nature vs machine Chaos Chaos is just another monster of the week, but it actually has a whole back story, and in the end it does end up fulfilling its purpose and destroying station square Alls well that ends well right? Shadow Shadows whole adventure throughout SA2 is just amazing, i cant really praise it enough Black doom Initially a C but thanks to shadow gens we can see how intricately he weaves himself into shadows past And hes the whole reason shadow learns to follow his own path Just like the song i am all of me says, shadow isnt a hero or a villian, hes just shadow Mephiles Best villian, change my mind Sage Easy S teir Theres so much i can rant about but the main reason is how sage humanizes eggman Honestly, play frontiers yourself Thanks to sage you will never see eggman the same again And after beating the main ending (nit the another story one) you will feel bad for this man who has tortured and attempted to kill sonic and his friends several times

The story didn't need Infinite. This is the game where Eggman finally "wins", and he's overshadowed by Infinite for most of it.

To be fair about the sun thing, Eggman had the real Phantom Ruby, so he could either render himself immune or disable the illusion before it gets him.
