Hikaru’s trash talk is just him being honest about how much better he is than you.

One does not understand that fast thinkers in this world always react a few seconds faster in their daily lives. This include before you say bye, they already said bye in their head and start walking off. It is not a sign of no manners but just a much faster brain reflex than normal people.

I don't believe anything that comes out the mouths of GMs at times. If Giri was in Ding's place, he would definitely be able to spot that idea. Gimme a break!

The first time I saw a photo of Giri, years ago, I thought: "here we have the typical unsociable nasty nerd prodigy" Well... it was not a brilliant judgment, isn't it? Well, at least I was right in the last word. Fabio is equally likable. The current generation of elite chessplayers seem to be very notable in their behavior and awareness. In the past, too many glorious players were... not very lovely in the short distance. Who could foresee that the chess gen Z 😉 was going to be so well rounded? 😹

Very very hard to win by the looks of it. I'm not surprised... one small error, or anything other than the perfect mating sequence will result in failure. Yeah it feels crappy because you're losing with a queen vs rook, but it doesn't look too bad seeing as how black just has to hold on for a bit.
@claytonhannah58264 күн бұрын
If he had a rook and a bishop he could at least move his diagonal attacks independently from his vertical/horizontal ones. Way easier yet the pieces involved would be worth less pointwise.

Ding is such a humble, pleasant guy. Rare personality type at the top. I hope he finds more pleasure in playing Chess soon, because everyone misses "prime" Ding.
