Good information on golden algae. I live in Mission Viejo California and my lake (HOA) is Lake Mission Viejo. The lake got this problem starting in 2015/2015 and the Lake Mission Viejo Association (LMVA) is still trying to resolve the problem as of 2024. All of the fish are gone. This lake I think is 124 acres so would it be possible to filter the lake in an effort to lower the solidity and control the golden algae?
