@@rupakkumarnayak8587 1.) selelect surface to surface contact in interaction properties 2) Select your first surface ... press done 3) then abaqus asks for weather second surface is surface or node....select node 4) then change selection from All to cells in selection toolbar dropdown menu ( right next to view toolbar) 5) Select the nodal region where you want contact to happen 6) give interaction properties ( friction is enough) 7) Enjoy

but i am doing my simulation in ansys..........i am able to simulate but it runs for very small time interval than the actual end time feeded. After that it shows "energy error too large". plzz advice me in this regard. i have taken max elastic plastic strain as the failure criteria. mesh size in the machining zone as 0.02mm.
