What does a snow fence do? Don't mean to sound stupid.

We put it alongside the driveway because the wind blows across the open field behind and causes massive drifting across the lane. When the snow fence goes up, it blocks/slows down some of that wind so the drifts of snow happen directly beside the fence instead of blocking the laneway. It just makes it easier for us to drive back the laneway without having to get snow removal every few hours.

My favorite. 😊 Snow Cream was my favorite but Mom said we had to Wait for the 2nd Snow. 😊❤ I haven't seen Snow in 10 years and I miss it. 😢

We got snow so early, Colorado is just a strange place, Half the state is a flat desert and the other half is mountains and snow lol

Why do mother rabbits do that? as in eat their babies ears?

It is usually inexperience. When the babies first come out, the Mom cleans them off. Sometimes she gets too overenthusiastic and cleans too much, and that's when you get missing ears and sometimes missing limbs. I have only ever seen this happen with my first time Moms, and it doesn't happen again in subsequent litters. This litter was the first one for this Mom and she had 11 babies (7 survived). I am pretty sure she just didn't know what on earth was going on and did the best she could, because since the babies got cleaned up and into the nest box, she has been an amazing Mom to the surviving ones.

I wish! She was an absolute doll. But no, these were all transports I was bringing back from the show for other people who couldn't make the drive. So they've been dropped off! The continental giant was so sweet...If I had room I would definitely get one! But they get HUGE - 25LBS!!

I generally don't...but she was done hatching. I always check babies after they've hatched to ensure there are no problems. :)

They're mostly just a barnyard mix. Some silver laced wyandotte, Ameraucana, and orpington in there, along with possibly copper marans, white leghorn and red sexlink. The eggs that have hatched are blue, green, brown and white.
