@@matthewlaw8268 does have wireless, but wireless runs through WiFi. I’d rather use wired and charge my phone the same time. Probably depends on the Landrover model for the reverse camera.

Hi, thank you. I did, but it was a weird one. So what I actually did 2 months ago was bought a cheap reverse camera to plug into the unit, and shoved it behind the dash. This then allowed the unit to read that there’s a camera connected, but automatically selects the main reverse camera as default based on the flick switches. I literally tried everything I could think of, but this was the only way I could get it to work 🤦

@@mints4us that’s correct, my original one now works by connecting in a random cheap one, and ensuring switches are in the right position to use the original one, not the cheap one. Obviously if you don’t have one built in, you can wire a read and forward facing one into the unit. But by having those on, you don’t get any use of the original camera, not even with the car play unit off. No idea why, but a lot of experimenting gave me that conclusion.

No reversing camera for me just scrambled screen - no video feed for rear camera but dip 2 everything else works

Ok fixed had to power cycle the car - dip 2 and 8 and its working on the main display when changing to Android or Apple it flashes between displays 😊

The reason my one came off easily is because I changed the screen the week before and had it all off before, so it was easier to work with once I knew where everything was.

@@GarrethEvans well can you do a in depth video on that part. this is easily the hardest part. i finally got the middle console off but i cant get the side panels off to access the ac unit

This definitely is something I had considered originally, but because my dash didn’t have the central console I decided that I’d keep them on the door for that reason. It would also result in less wires in the doors, so it probably would be the better way of doing it. Hoping to get a 110 defender next, which I’ll be doing the same mods on, but using what I learned from these to save time and money, and improve the modifications.

Unfortunately I’m not aware of any. Would love that same modification to ours :( I’m not sure if the Incontrol app allows this, as some vehicles with the app allows you to turn the heating on before you get to the car. Annoyingly Land Rover wouldn’t link my one, so I’m not sure what it does.

To get the original rear camera to work you need to fit a piggyback fuse loom to fuse number 11 on the fuse box in the glovebox and connect it to the orange wire on the main loom supplied with the unit.

It works via wifi, not Bluetooth. But I use usb, as I don’t get phone signal where I live, so need the wifi to set up destination before leaving
