7:27 did the M3 leak out enough oil for that to happen or was it just a case of the 911 miscalculating their entry speed?

no it was not the oil, we think that it must be a combination of fatigue on this 4th full day of race, a confusion on the sign just before the turn and the fact that maybe they thought that the dirt road just beneath and the surrounding of this turn me was cleaned 2 days priors so maybe they did not recognized the area didn't jnow where the road was ? we don't really know

Thing is most of the footages from back at the times are from peoples than were racing in World championships or national championships, here it’s mostly regular driver than back in the days could not afford theses cars

Bon… j’ai du mal à discerner si c’est un commentaire passif agressif ou bien si c’est moi qui interprète mal ton style d’écriture, dans le doute on va être gentil, Je suis pas un pro, c’est pas moi qui parles sur la vidéo mais je trouve que mes amis mettent de l’ambiance, ça plait pas à tout le monde mais ils beuglent pas comme des idiot à chaque voiture donc ça me va. Pour l’angle et l’endroit j’étais au plus joli endroit de la spéciale qui est malheureusement assez isolé pour d’autres prises de vues, l’épingle d’en bas ce n’était pas beau et compliqué de tenir debout sur la terre qui se cassait la geule, et ils ne passaient qu’une seule fois, puis je n’ai vu qu’une spéciale… Mais du coup je pense que ces commentaires tu peut également les appliquer sur ta vidéo, essaie de prendre un angle ou on verra mieux les voitures, fait un montage car l’attente entre les voitures est longue, une vidéo filmée à la main est toujours plus vivante que posée au sol, (je l’utilise parfois mais en complément sur un terrain qui s’y prête, pour cette vidéo je ne pouvais pas la connexion sans fil n’était pas assez forte pour commander à distance depuis l’épingle plus bas) Cette année j’essaierais d’aller voir entrevaux car c’est la plus proche de chez moi et le terrain se prête plus à changer de point de vue avec les enchaînements d’épinglés, au plaisir de peut être vous y croiser

@@Totsprod il n 'y a rien de méchant dans ma critique j'ai 75 ans passé j"en ai vu des vidéos ( toutes plus ou moins bien faites elles restent surtout perso mais les diffuser, c'est prendre un risque pas vrai ? ) ! j ' y étais cette année comme depuis bien des années tant que je peux j' ...habite loin ( Sarthe ) je fais principalement de la photo ...le peu de video que je fais reste pour moi seul !!! pas de rancune quand mème soyons zen ....bon courage .. je serai au monte carlo WRC à la fin du mois !!! mes premiers monte carlo date de 1973 une autre époque !!!

Not exactly "historic" cars, since most aren't sporting their original engines, and have been modded to the point of being unrecognizable in some cases. The ones that are actual race cars are of course justified in their crazy looks, otherwise, don't hide the car's styling behind an overuse of aero mods that aren't actually helping. Those Simcas and Renault 5's are so so sick!!! The 911's sounded mean, like they'll eat your soul, and the Lancias/Alpines/Alfas were awesome to see performing!

Sorry but I have to disagree here, technically yes most are not racing with their serial original unmodified engine, since there is almost no Rally car nowadays in group 1/3 or N. Which only allow you to use the unmodified original engine. But for the group 2/4/A & B it’s still the original base motor that is modified as it was the regulation from back at the time, they are using the sames engines they used in rally back at the time, the only exception to my knowledge here are the Renault 8 who have a Renault 5 GT turbo engine & the Austin Mayfair who have a mix of motorbike and car engine. But theses shots are from a fun event and not an actual rally. ( they can still do regularity but in this case it was an event with no chrono ) And same for the Aero…. It’s all aero you could see back at the time because it’s almost all aero that were directly created by constructors on their own racing team cars and except the 2 quoted earlier the only one that’s not the case are the Renault Dauphine because the bodywork comes from the 60’s by Queron who made them race in Group 5, theses are replicas, but they can still have a passport. Speaking of Group 5 in this group it was totally free you could do what you want with bodywork or engine with the car, you could get of the roof if you wanted, nowadays it’s different there is one rule : the car must have the exact same specs from when it made a race when this group was ongoing in the 60’s-70´s. Basically it’s the prototype Group, So it’s really difficult because there is very few documentations since most of them were non official, but in this video there is 2 of them, the Jide 1600S who is only in this group because the constructor didn’t reach the quota of 400 sales a year to make it in Group 4, and the Simca 1000 Compressor ( ex work with J.P Vaucard) is the development car of the Simca 1000 Rallye 2. Now if you expected original state cars and engine as they were from when you bought it from the dealership, this isn’t the right content for you sorry…

A lot of these drivers are slow. They have no smooth finesse as fast drivers. They are more about getting the car sideways and enjoying that than fast smooth car control. Trying to emulate group B cars with a third of the power. Great fun but not great drivers excepting a few

That poor, poor 911 SC RS at 6:12 😮😖😭 that one _was GOING_ to be my favorite, guess I'll have to choose the RS that came before it 😅 Edit: ohhh... maybe that gorgeous Alpine A310 😍 (but I'd still rather have the Porsche... maybe a flat 6 _out_ of a air cooled Porsche _inside_ the A310 👌🏼) Edit again: and the FB RX7 of course with the unfortunately painted headlight buckets 😅

The Alpine A310 exist in Group 4 with a 2.4L V6 but there’s not many even in France, and also in Group 5 with a 3.0L and I never saw any
