Only nineteen comments? To have five minutes of an artist's time, especially one of Tom's caliber is unbelievable. A touch of an artist and a live demo, it is soooo appreciated! Thank you, Mr. Richmond.😊😊

I think it's great that you included your reference material because some act like they're making it up on the fly, and this video shows what drawing is more often like.

Hi sir, my PP is one of your caricatures, and I love your work, as always. I love Gandalf and Saruman acted by Sir Christopher Lee and Sir Ian McKellen. It is not pleasant to see the Rings of Powers series on Amazon, and they managed to ruin what Disney did to Star Wars series 7 - 8 - 9.

Legal, gosto de assistir seus vídeos Tom. gostava muito das paródias que você fazia para a mad, pena que a Mad não faz mais.

I don't even like caricatures but I love Tom's work. Most artists either go so cartoony that it barely captures the subject, or they go so realistic that it's basically a warped portrait. Tom walks on the razor thin fence between those two dangerously boring traps and makes art that represents people better than any photograph could.

I really enjoyed this, I've never watched one of these. I've seen the sketch of the week finished still shots but this was so fun, it was like hanging over your shoulder getting all of these pearls of wisdom. I can never get enough of hearing about Mort Drucker either. I remember being probably around 10 years old sitting at the table with (my mom's!! 😂) Mad magazines drawing the lines he drew even if they didn't make sense to me and then trying to make decisions the way he might've, in my own drawings. You are like Mort in that you are at the top of the game. I'm so inspired after watching this. I'll try to be sure and watch more of them. I think you must be a teacher deep down in your heart because everyone watching this probably took something away that they can use...and speaking for myself I'm extra convicted of needing to work on my HANDS 😆 Thanks Tom! By the way, my 16 year old daughter looked up from whatever she was doing and said, "I know what a telephone is and I'm under 20!" LOL. But a lot of people don't!
@art4mad4 ай бұрын
LOL! Good for your daughter! I also never get tired of hearing anything about Mort. I was so lucky to have gotten to know him.
@kimboylecaricatures63584 ай бұрын
@@art4mad yeah it must have been surreal to have conversations with him. I was so sad that his funeral was limited on people wanting to pay their respects because of covid. I can't imagine how many would've been there. He's left lots of line work on our hearts forever ♥️. Did you get to attend his funeral? You are/were the perfect predecessor for Mort
