Good video. Thanks. It would have been better if you would have shown post processing i.e. how to create coronal and sagittal reformats from the scan data.

In single phase shooting; thorax+abdomen+pelvis scan appears as 282 DLP(mgy.cm). Did this patient receive a 282 DLP radiation dose to his entire body, or did he receive the same dose to the thorax, abdomen and pelvis separately?

You mentioned threshold values. So, what is the diagnostic/medical dose threshold for pediatric and adult patients? For example, if a child undergoes CT scans at regular intervals for his treatment, what is the maximum dose of msv he should receive annually?

How long does it take to take the actual scan? Is it the positioning and sorting computer that takes time?

I went through 3 seminars and there was zero talk about inserting the needle! Desired angle, depth, nothing! This literally could have been a 5 minute video, not 3 dragged out videos. Rub alcohol on your dominant finger glide across the arm, feel for the long balloon structure. There I just saved you an hour.

My 5 year son had PNS CT scan i'm worried because after CT beginning he moved so I had to go with him to fix his head the CT was repeated but the first dose was just for seconds .?how harmful is it for him? Did he take the same amount of radiation twice? I'm very concerned

great video but i have a question. how did you calculate the TE times for dixon sequence as 2.38ms, 4.76 ms and 7.15 ms?
@radtechhubmedicalprofessionals
@radtechhubmedicalprofessionals 8 ай бұрын
Most Dixon sequences rely on acquiring multiple echoes at specific time intervals (echo spacing) to differentiate water and fat based on their differing T2 decay rates. The 2.38 ms value could be part of a sequence with specific echo spacing ratios, like 1:2:3 or 1:1.5:2.4. In this case, 2.38 ms might be the first echo time, with subsequent echoes at multiples of this value (4.76 ms and 7.15 ms for the ratios mentioned above). Let us know if our reply was beneficial!

Hi Doctor could you please help me, Iam 32 I got cranial ct scan with siemens 16 My total mAs value is 4751 total DLP:927 Ctdivol 51.52 xray tube current :460 (I think fix value) exposure time 500 . Doctor, total mAs value isn't it so high? I am seeing this value on my patient protocol page, I dont have dose report page so it means I may have get more DLP and mAs? Patients protocol page time is before than scan time. is it normal? If I had Dose report page it would be more accurate because it shows value after ct scan procesure?

Am a retired RT from the era of film, cassettes, darkrooms, view boxes and interaction with radiologists! Am appreciative of the opportunity to learn about the X-ray profession of today. I was the only technician in a small office where general radiography, fluoroscopy, and radiation therapy were performed! What changes I have witnessed!😮😮😮

Opacification of the aorta is not really wanted with a CTPA. I'd suggest triggering in the SVC, then scanning the patient caudo-crainially. The lateral view for planning is overkill. Otherwise, it's a good video. Informative.

I wish my dr would have mentioned timing re scheduling for pre-menopausal women. I had one at the 3 1/2 week mark and now have additional testing due to a finding of nonmass enhancement not found on second-look spot compression or ultrasound. Thanks for sharing.

Hi I wanna ask what's the difference between ct scan and ultrasound? What it can show? Thank you
@radtechhubmedicalprofessionals
@radtechhubmedicalprofessionals 8 ай бұрын
Hello dear, Ultrasound employs sound waves, is radiation-free, and is ideal for real-time imaging of soft tissues. In contrast, CT scans use X-rays, offer detailed cross-sectional images, but come with ionizing radiation. Each has specific applications in medical imaging.
