When I tell my sisters I had sepsis and that it's very serious and can quickly lead to death or loss of limb they roll their eyes and think I'm exaggerating.

How about an update on this patient? I've had sepsis twice, the most recent a few weeks ago and it was diagnosed as severe sepsis. I'm on heart medication and blood thinner. I think I was lucky in that a few weeks before I fell sick I was feeling better than I had in years. I think maybe that was what made the difference and how I got though this latest bout.

got out of my cast for a heel fracture today and love walking. So I walked about 2 miles (with a 20 minute break in the middle) Muscles feel fine (though I don't have full mobility) but the skin on the bottom of my foot is killing me.

Thanks for sharing. I had sepsis & had surgery to abdomen to remove absess. I was discharged but a few days later, I noticed blisters on my body. It was the most awful time of my life. I was lucky that there were no further problems. I went home after I was infection free. I do have autoimmune which in my case helped me survive. I hope you all get well soon.

My Dad had Sepsis, antibiotics. He was in the hospital 6 days, returned to LTC, a month later died. Didn’t know how he got Sepsis.

My fracture clinic docs do not even understand that there is pain after a cast removal. I am feeling very traumatized by what they did to my fractured limb at this clinic.
