Question the lvl locked guild that you are part of on FV for gear can it only be gear like defiant? Is it no twink lvl a char from 1 and use whatever you get along the way?

Just missing a paladin tank wielding Dawncaller, Blade of the Morning, or Great Spear of Dawn. Then you could ditch the cleric merc and switch it for a dps one. Tank will heal himself.

funny this popping up. this brings back memories. mostly bad ones. wipe and can't get the corpse. spending 3 to 4 hours trying to hire some people to clear the way to get corpse. but was a good times!

I love the art also. I dont have a house on Fironna Vie yet. Im moving my characters and my house from Bristlebane to FV. I put most of my artwork in the guild for now.

I have trouble getting my animations to fight. I read you have to potition them just right, but mine doesn't always work. Sometimes, it will help when my SK's pet is beside it. I haven't figured it out yet. It's my 3 box group since Goldiloks is locked at 60. I have Drulina working with the SK and my Enchanter, Facinate.Thanks for the vid I learned a few tricks.

I recall doing the plate cycle over and over again with guildies. Tanks got first dibs on plate except for cleric pants. Must have been there for 20 cycles before every plate wearer got full sets and stuff started going to alts.

love the videos was wondering if you can help me understand something. when or at what time or can you explain when the rogue poisons go from only applying after the first hit and then being removed to staying until you die/zone? i dont understand how that works all the poisons i make seem to only apply on first hit after i apply the poison. i'm on the PoP expansion

First ever epic 1.0 I ever did was Druid on FV. Since then I have done a dozen of them, Druid, Ranger, Bard on the TLPs.

I had a Wiz as my original back in 99. I got all staffs except the BG I ended up MQing that, but with Phinny you just send a Wiz up to his room and TL to the zone, heh its been 20 + years since Ive done it but if you cast Translocate on yourself as a Wiz the pop up stayed until I get to Phinny, poof he appears at the zone. I knew the zone well back then and ran it for other Wiz and Mag that needed the staffs. Love it

Kill the ghoul lord in lguk until he drops the scalp, that'll give him enough faction for the mask I believe

When did "encounter locking" start in EQ? KSing used to be a fun sport for some of us.

Generally rogues are somewhere in the middle of the parse distribution, which is where I think they should be. The only time I topped the parse was during Gates of Discord. This is because all of my AAs were banked and berserkers just came into existence. When a rogue tops the parse in an undertuned era like Gates, generally we’ll take DPS agro and get one shot by Tacvi mobs. In an undertuned era, this is independent of gear, and I know a lot of gear heads that would dispute this. I stopped playing on Mangler during Rain of Fear. At this time we couldn’t touch necromancer DPS, especially in a protracted raid encounter. As you may know during these later expansions, there are no tank and spanks, so the DPS parse becomes less important to the overall success of a raid than the heal parse.

You should use the DD clicky bracer. You can craft one easily but i forgot the name. It allows you to break mezzes and then send pet on perfect time. Also, very low dps DD then summoners wont summon you keeping their 99,9% hp.

I am enjoying my return to EQ on Oakwynd. I am taking it a bit slower than the last time I played and focusing more on the people I play with as well as playing a class I did not focus on much in classic, the Monk. In the end, it will likely be the people who keep me playing. How long that lasts remains to be seen, but I do have this dream I'll keep going longer with the right group and so far, I am having a blast. Thanks for the video!

Hardcore, 1 life, is the new fad. They should have increased exp gains by 5x and made it 1 life perma death. Probably have a lot more players. This server isn't different enough to keep anyone. Everyone will bail around Planes of Power, just like every other server.

Really hoping that FTE will prevent powerleveling. PLing cheapens the game for everyone.

Oakwynd is interesting, but none of the server rules make it more fun to play. I'm a Mischief till live guy myself though. It's been such a fun server as its rules do impact what makes eq fun. Plus we're just now getting to some of the most fun content! I can't imagine going back to having absolutely no skills to use hah.
