One of the creators of this game was a "BLAKE'S 7" fan in childhood, and the dialogue was written with him in mind. In fact, this game helped me to discover "BLAKE'S 7", of which I am now a fan.

it was great but other other oceans changed sir dans sword slash, the ghostship pirate and how he throws stuff, and used sir dans crypt more than once

To be honest with you guys, don’t care what people say about this game. I personally love the remake of Medievil on PS4. I can’t not stop playing it. I really hope they make Medievil 2. I’ll I can say is that to me in my opinion, this game is a masterpiece and I give this game a 100%.

So happy this game got the see the day and light in a remaster first before MediEvil 2 was remastered as when I was a kid I had my ps1 copy of the original MediEvil stolen from me, only to be returned in bad condition where I couldn't play it anymore and could only play MediEvil 2 on ps1 so coming back to this has been so nostalgic for me, can't wait too get these lost souls done also so I can muck around with the ps1 cheats part of MediEvil. I used to have so much fun with that as a kid no lie ;) In saying cheats, glad the remaster took that out completely as no lie the original MediEvil as a kid I never completed without cheat codes

I have liked and subscribed to the chanel as a guy who played the orignal in 2000 alongside Medievil 2 i loved these games and was hoping that they would both get remade from the ground up the way Crash and Spyro did this review is sopt on and i hope to see Medievil 2 remade some day

You can also play the original PS1 Medievil if you 100% the PS4 Medievil. It'll show up on the main menu under the name Old Game. If that option was in the Crash and Spyro remakes I would lose my freaking mind.

I loved playing this again and laying the souls to rest allows you to access the original ps1 game to replay if you want. Such an amazing reward. Now here's hoping for a Medievil 2 remake with the same team.

Seems worth getting, but NO the enemies aren't the same. Zarok most of all looks like a Pixar villain. Where as before he looked creepy. In fact the whole tone of the game is more Pixar and less Tim Burton. Which is a damn shame. Otherwise seems to at least be as fun, if not perhaps more.

I don't care what anybody says, Resurrection was the shit. Reinvented levels, Zarok is more involved, the game itself is longer and the soundtrack is just fantastic, so fantastic that it was also used in the. Current remake.

@@TheOneLichemperor Yeah man it's also angular like the original, giving it a Tim Burton feel (more than the original in my opinion) The new one is awesome, but Resurrection just looks like a perfect mix if the 2019 and 1998.

@@powerwegy They absolutely nailed the Tim Burton aesthetics in Resurrection, I agree. The PS4 remake - while gorgeous - does come across as very generic in that regard. I also appreciate how Resurrection's design deviated from the original, which makes it fresh even for those that first played it on the PS1.

Yes... if you complete all their quests, you unlock a fully playable version of the original MediEvil... that sounds like a joke, but it isn't!

Bombed? WHAT THE FUCK are you talking about? It has 75 on Metacritic, it's absolutely a good score I get being a fan of the game but what else were you expecting? The Ocarina of Time of this generation with a 96 on metacritic? MediEvil is my favourite game but let's be real dude

@@thejohnnemesis 7 is absolutely decent, remember that something like Spyro Reignited is beautiful but it has 8, just a point above MediEvil It may be a bit low for us sure but it's not like they did a review bomb on this game For us it's a 10 sure but critics have to point out all those flaws in the camera, the frame rate (which unfortunately is apparently a lot on the ps4 standard) and those elements in the gameplay that didn't aged well It's a game made for fans, for the people that don't care about frame rate or camera, for us it's a 10 But critics when reviewing a game they HAVE to care about that stuff, it's their job

@@GroovyLeon While its true critics will find fault. Have you heard some of them? The reviewers are almost stupid in some cases. Complaining about difficulty yet running around with their heads cut off not using the shields ect. One reviewer didn't even get the protags name right. Call him Fortesk! lmao feels like there are way too many nitpicks online from critics right now.

@@jakeryan2805 Yeah I'm not saying that every critic is right IGN is idiotic as always and there are some who are genuinely stupid (like those who cries because the game does not have checkpoints) All I'm saying is that to expect a flooding of 9/10 and 10/10 was completely unreasonable For us fans this game is perfect and I almost cried while playing this yesterday But I feel like a 7.5 or an 8 is a good enough score for this game
