You made this look very easy. Please, please, please make more of these Python videos. I extract information from 18 different Excel files and consolidate the relevant data from each file to create a report on a single Excel sheet. There must be an easier way to accomplish this, as my laptop struggles to execute all the commands and formulas I use.

Laura: Here is an interesting request for data cleanup. I generate a report in excel.xlsx that has a column with characters representing cost. When generated, sometimes the software enters an asterisk (*) at the end of some of the rows to correspond to a comment. I have not been able to remove the asterisks by using df.str.strip() or df.str.rstrip(). I am able to remove any character except for the asterisk. Any suggestions?
