My mum is the narcissist the first time in my life I've cut her off 2 months now I have no idea what to do but the stress is making me ill thankyou I feel guilt as its my mum.

I feel why do people have too have a label or title. Theses individuals are simply just users and wick people. You’re either good or bad right or wrong. Kind or mean there just not deceit people point blank period.

Most people don't care of your achievements or goals. Most are self centered. So I don't know if the quality you mentioned are only limited to narcissist . It is a self centered society. Yes there are few who are different.

@@scottharm3932 I'm wondering if I have this narcissistic trait. I'll say things like well done, if someone is obviously pleased at their achievement, but unless I actually see the value of it I'm not going to feel jealous. Trying to work out if she's saying me not seeing value in this other person's achievement means I'm secretly jealous? I just really don't see the point of almost anything. I try to imagine if I would put the effort in to achieve the same thing, and the answer's always an obvious no. So why would I be jealous? Are narcissists jealous of the result, without consideration of the effort required to attain it? I consider both the result and effort, and if it seemed worth it I'd just do it. I never do though, as it never does. That's not jealousy. I'm not really impressed by anything. I guess I'm impressed people bothered to put effort in, because I never would, but that's more criticism that praise. Why did you do it? Why should I care? I can say I'm happy for you if you care, but that's it.

My ex used to say the Golden rule is “treat others how they treat you”. Lol I used to tell him it is threat others how you want to be treated. Just an example of how misguided these unhappy people are, just to get away with acting ridiculous.
