It's been a long time since I've run this, but if I recall correctly, after 85%, every single time he does a fast double paw slam (excluding the one he does right after every single AOE debuff application thing or the one after a jump mechanic), he will apply a parasite debuff. If he's unenraged, it applies to the furthest person from the boss. If he's enraged, it applies to the closest person to the boss. In a perfect world, one person takes 2 parasite stacks in a row, and then another person takes 2 parasite stacks in a row, etc. You just cycle through people taking 2 stacks and don't let anyone take a 3rd, because then they're dead, and I think they stay dead for like 3 minutes or something. But really, it's a pretty lenient mechanic, so it's fine if someone takes just 1 parasite at a time here and there. All that matters is you try not to let anyone get a 3rd stack. At 15%, you don't do dps anymore, the boss just slowly dies on its own while throwing a bunch of AOEs and stuff at you. Just dodge the stuff for long enough, and the boss will die on its own. Healing is also reduced by a lot during this phase, so it helps to get hit as little as possible.

@@ryanzahell7292 It's been far too long, but I'll try to remember. This mechanic has an in/out AOE section followed by a left/right AOE section, each of which gives a different debuff that you have to make sure you take correctly. In hard mode, it does it twice in a row. There are 3 things to take into account: enranged (boss says "feel my rage") or unenraged (boss says "feel the fear"), fire or ice aura at feet, wings glowing or wings not glowing. Enraged means you have to take the opposite debuff of what you have, unenraged means you take the same debuff. The aura at the feet and whether or not the wings are glowing must be read in tandem, as these tells give away which debuff will appear where. Whatever aura it is, if the wings are glowing, that debuff will be the first inner donut, and if the wings are not glowing, that debuff will be the first outer donut. For example, if it's fire aura and the wings are glowing, that means that the fire debuff will be the first inner donut. The way I would always read it is first look at enrage, then look at the aura, then look at the wings. So my mind would read it as "take opposite > ice > is out", for example. There is a technique that you can see me using in the video which simplifies it greatly, to the point that most of the time, you actually don't even have to move throughout the entire mechanic after your first move. It also allows you to essentially ignore the left/right part of the mechanic and focus on the in/out. The bosses left is naturally his ice side, and the bosses right is naturally his fire side. If you just go to and stay on the side of the boss that matches the debuff you have at the time the mechanic is starting, just position to take the first donut correctly, and then don't move at all, and you should be fine for the entire mechanic. If you were positioned on the side of the boss that is opposite the debuff you had at the time the mechanic started, just jump in (if you first went out) or out (if you first went in) after the first in/out and left/right completes, and you should be fine.

@@commentatation Oh! Now I understand, so basically I was blue on the red side and that’s why going opposite after first swipe worked for me. Makes total sense. Yeah cuz if you are at the same color/side when he switch you color on swipe, there a little explosion that changes back before second swipe. Now I have to look forward to the mini boss, I honestly went once without any buff and got it to 49%. I pretty confident that I can do it next time. I usually do normal mode with 42sec left. Yes, there is no difference in the patterns. Enraged waves will 1-shot you basically 100% of the time, but other than that, they are identical, so you don't have to change the strategy.

Waves radiate outwards from the boss, so walking away from the boss gives you a bigger window to dodge the next incoming wave, because it will take more time for the next wave to get to you (because it needs to travel farther to get to you). It makes it more likely that you'll successfully dodge the wave, especially if you're like me and don't have very low ping. Even with the other method that I put as straight back and forth in this video, I'd actually do each jump slightly diagonally away from the boss, so you're gradually getting further away through the mechanic.

My ping is usually in the high 80s, but can get as low as the high 60s or as high as 100-110 normally. Some of my etchings are movement speed, but you can do this without any movement speed etchings. I use the EP for backstep movement speed, which probably helps a lot.

If you have strong gear and you're full health, yes. You could also use holy burst. Even then, it probably won't work for enraged waves, or if you just happen to not be full health. In the long run, it's better to learn to do the mechanics properly rather than cheese them, because that will ensure you'll always live in pretty much every situation.

Yes, but it's better to learn how to do it. You may sometimes be in a position where you can't outrange. Also, I think if nobody does the mechanic, you get a debuff that reduces your HP to 1 and prevents healing for 30 seconds.

You have to get a feel for when the boss will stomp. I use kaia whenever I notice the boss hasn't stomped in a while and I feel like it is about to stomp. When it hasn't done stomp in a while, it's also important not to use long animations like divine charge and estars when the boss is in between animations, without using kaia or holy burst first. Whenever both kaia and holy burst are on cooldown, if the boss stomps, I use cleanse to prevent the KD, then the spin.

Thank you :) There are a lot of ways you can do the purple aoe. One thing you can try is right when you get pulled in, use fiery straight out, continue walking, then backstep angled sideways, over the wave, then continue walking out. It's a much simpler method that is more based on your backstep timing/angle, rather than the speed at which you do things.

You can just walk it like this because it's rare that divine charge is actually up during a wave. It has a long cooldown. If it's up, you can use it because it makes you extremely fast and will make walking waves easier.

Using guardian sanctuary will reset backstep

It shouldn't be very long, I just make sure to be spamming backstep while it's going off. A possible problem is that you're too close to the boss for the next wave, so you don't have much time to dodge to the other side (because waves travel outwards). The walking backwards part when I cast GS is very important and will make it so waves take longer to get to you. It makes it easier to not get hit, even without attack speed buffs like arush or root beers.

@@carrionsoup3576 If you mean walking straight back to the other side and not away from the boss at all, then that will probably make it more difficult for you. Try walking away while you are in GS animation, and then dodging over to the other side.

Yes, I wanted to align it with the warrior burn for this run. Using edict depends on what dungeon you're doing and what party composition you have now. If I'm in a party of parsers where I'm not really sure, I'll just ask what the dps want. If it's a casual run, I'll use it whenever I feel like (off cd, on enrage, with arush, whenever feels like a good time, etc).

Crafter's speed boost (increases crafting speed by 99%)

When he points his sword in the air and his sword gets a pink-ish aura/glow around it, he will do the expanding pink donuts. When he points his sword up and it gets a purple-ish aura/glow, he will do the big AOE with the expanding ring.

At 15%, the boss stops attacking and goes to the middle of the arena. A little minigame starts where you have to avoid rings and meteors and tornadoes that do damage. After this point, the boss slowly takes damage on its own until it dies, so nobody has to actually attack it. The party has to survive long enough for the boss to just die on its own. Nobody has any roles, just individually try and survive by jumping, iframing, and moving around avoiding things. Currently, there's a bug where you can go hide in an area past the outer fire and be totally safe, which is what you can see the DPS doing at one point. I think that's going to get patched soon, so they have to do it properly like me and the tank are doing once it gets patched.

Back when this was recorded, you couldn't sleep an already slept skeleton. It would not renew the sleep duration. So to make sure they stayed slept, you had to wake them up and re-sleep them. They changed it though, so now you can just sleep it again while it's already sleeping.

That's just how it works. I think using a consumable that moves your screen gets rid of the darkness. I'm not sure if that's intended or not, but that's how everyone I run with gets rid of it, and it's quick and easy.
