I just finished powerless last night and had the EXACT SAME THOUGHTS! I’m obsessed with the first two books but this one was a little let down for me. I think i ended up more invested in Jasper’s character development than the romance plot at the end because i didn’t feel as connected to the couple after 100 pages in. I also agree that i would’ve loved to see how the connection grew when they were kids a lot more than what they showed.

That is a great July stack. I read firefly land many years ago before it was a Netflix series and it’s still one of my favorite books to recommend. I also love True Colors by Kristin Hannah. I’ve also got Archers Voice and CC1 on my upcoming reading TBR. Along with When the Moon Hatched.

I literally cannot wait until reckless comes out. I have a whole day off. I’m going to be reading it. I need no one to talk to me until I finish that book Lol I am on the same page with you and I’m going to need someone to talk to after I’m done because I know it’s going to be emotional, wild, and all the other things!!! 💜

People we meet on vacation is one of my favorite Emily Henry books even though a lot of people don’t love it, so I’m excited to hear your thoughts!! Also out of love by Hazel hayes was SO good it is extremely underrated❤️🫙

Archer's Voice is amazing! 😭 So was People We Meet on Vacation. It was my intro to Emily Henry, and I loved it so much. I've read 2 Kristin Hannah books so far and they were both great - I haven't read Firefly Lane yet, but it's on my TBR along with The Nightingale! 🥤 (YT doesn't have a jar LOL)

Enjoy Kristen Hannah! I haven’t read “Firefly Lane” but she got me into reading historical fiction with “The Women” and “The Nightingale” and “The Great Alone.” If you end up enjoying “Firefly Lane” you should definitely read “The Great Alone”. I think about it to this day!!!

Archer's Voice is so good! Firefly Lane was my first Kristen Hannah book, I was not a huge fan, but then seen many say it is not her best, so I will still give her another chance.
