My brother works on yachts as a like a co-captain, boson, and engineer depending how big the yacht is which has worked on some big ones and is just the engineer. He’s 30 now and living in Fort Lauderdale one of the hot spots for yachts. He genuinely enjoys it. He’s been able to stay on yachts for months at a time with free food, accommodation and most of the time becomes friends with the staff it’s not a bad business but it does have its downsides like waking up at 3am because something is happening to the engine but that is the price you pay to get 100k a year traveling the world basically for free.
