I actually liked Nas' verse a bit more here. Post-IWW Nas had a tendency to have clunky rhyme schemes imo (the official "John Blaze" verse was AAAA/BB/C/DDD/EEEE/F/GG for example). There were still internal rhymes of course, and the first half of one line can rhyme w/ the previous line but not its end but I think this Nas verse flowed better than the official one.
