@@angelJN-m8l It's the Emonda ALR (2023) frameset, not the ALR 5. It has different paint job compared to the ALR 5, other than that, it's the same.

@@hippo71124 Correct, size 50! You won't regret getting it. Weight is nearly identical with the SL version.

@@Stefanosinf awesome! And I personally do prefer aluminum bikes just for the peace of mind haha Would you mind sharing your height? I’m 1.69 m and the Trek site is suggesting 52, but that seems a bit longer than I would imagine.

@@hippo71124 I'm 1.65cm with short torso and longer legs. Trek's are usually a bit on the long side. I think that the 52 will also suit you. But do not take what's written on the site. It's not the best. I asked the local dealer that has very good fitting experience and I did a bike fit, both suggested that the 50 was the way to go for me. I did own the 2017 Emonda ALR and that was size 47, but it was way to small for me. My knees kept knocking on my chest whenever I trying to be more aero. No such problem with the 50.

The bike was bought as a frame set and I build it myself. So I choose every component that went on based on a price/performance/weight aspect.

Hi! I had a quality issue with the bars and it took a month to resolve it (but they did in the end), so not the best of experiences with the seller.

@@Stefanosinf did they sent a replacement? And do you mind sharing what was the issue?

@tautvydasgurskis1848 They would not send a new one out, despite of me asking for it all along. They just refunded me. It took a month and i had to check with them on a weekly basis. The issue was a small hairline crack at the base of the neck part, around the bottom screw hole. Nothing came apart, nothing broke off, but still it was unsafe to ride. The installation was made a qualified bike shop by a mechanic. The only part of this build that i didn't do by my self. Not because i didn't wanted, but, when he learned that i had this on order, he wanted to do it to check it out, so he could know if he gonna recommend it or not to his customers. He has pretty impressed with the quality i have to say. I'm also very happy with the bars, despite this fail. For the price i would certainly buy them again.

As the geometry is exactly the same, the only difference that I could feel between this and the SL is there the SL was a bit more reactive, but not by much. The ride quality is very nice on the ALR too.

Thanks! It's the best upgrade i've done so far (including the bike fit i did at the same time) My riding position is perfect now. I had problems descending on the drops and saddle issues. Both fixed!

Hi! I am 165mm, with longer legs and shorter torso than average. I did get a bike fit after the fact because i had issues with my position and now i'm dialed in just right! (Sorry didn't saw your comment earlier...)

Hi! Good buy! The Headset comes with the bike, so no worries... You will only need to buy the adapter if you are going to use the Trek's RCS Pro Blendr Stem. Then you will need to buy the Trek RCS Pro Blendr Split ring. (Except if you mean the stem/handlebar combo that i used...)

@@Stefanosinf ah that’s good news then heard it didn’t! I’m looking at running the dead Superbox stem but seems to be a bit of a minefield figuring out if needing a specific headset etc for the semi integrated look under the stem!

Better send an email to Deda, in case you will need anything more. (Also, there is a discussion going in weight weenies site about this subject, google it and you will find more answers than i currently have to offer...)
