Dash needs to connect Leonard-Alpine-Ann & Plainfield streets. It's a pain going all the way into central from Leonard when you need to go on Alpine and vice versa. I hope they do this. I wrote in a few years back, and they said there's not enough ridership to support it. As a rider, I can say they are wrong.

They always try to scare you and tell you it’s the law, you can refuse, they can’t do anything about it if you refuse. I’ve dodged and refused for years and not once have I ever complied to one.

Thank you for posting! Why did it take so long? This meeting was held 5/2 and was only published an hour ago at 11 am on 5/15.

Hello, my name is Max Gilles and I am the administrator for the Mobile GR Commission. We recently started publishing these videos, so still working out some kinks. Our video recording was actually way to high quality and was enormous in file size due to the length of this meeting. Which caused some issues with us compressing and combining the audio files. We got it sorted out and should be able to avoid that problem in the future, so hoping for a quicker turnaround going forward. Sorry about the delay. - Max.

Enough money for the insanely high quality ad but not enough for real KZbin channel advertising to avoid having to buy 69k fake views? I don’t understand it
@TheCityofGrandRapids
@TheCityofGrandRapids 4 ай бұрын
Hello, appreciate the feedback! These views are not "fake", but are from skippable ads, which don't allow folks to like or comment, thus the lack of interaction. We do feel like promoting the video on KZbin and other channels is a great way to get our DASH bus in front of the community who can, hopefully, take advantage of it. Happy to talk about other advertising options if you think there is a better way to reach folks with our promotional dollars. - Max, Mobile GR

The level of dedication of these officers is astounding. Sad that this level of force and control are necessary but grateful our officers see their jobs as primarily protecting life, including the life of the wanted suspect.

I was crossing the street downtown by the police station. A car turning right off breonna taylor way was impatient with me and hit me. I went to the police to report the guy who drove through the crosswalk. They said they would not file a report because I did not have significant enough injuries. The GRPD also murdered Patrick Lyoya.

American cities having to start making vids about the law in hopes to get people to know it is a law. But why you gotta enforce that? It should be simple to learn that while learning to drive,mbut somehow its now the cities responsibility to remind ppl not to break laws..

Police are independently operated and controlled by whims and opinions of themselves, supervisors, judges, townships, cities, counties, and states! (Police are not educated lawyers, and many of them are without high school diplomas!)... The deputies or police attract abusive sociopaths, psychopaths, perverts, child molesters and narcissists like drugs are to an addict more than any legal profession! Police must pay financial damage from their own pockets for unlawful acts against innocent taxpayers or the policing problem can only exacerbate further hate and demise dishonoring the (For Profit) profession! QUALIFIED IMMUNITY: "Must be ABOLISHED " ...!

its obvious Patrick spoke a lot less English than the passenger, I suspect the car was not a possession of Patrick's but rather his friend's, and Patrick truly had no idea what the officer was talking about when he mentioned the license plate, as well as when the officer first grabbed him, I think Patrick was trying to go to look at the plates to see what the cop was talking about and freaked out when the cop grabbed him and simply ran because he was scared and confused. I don't think he was trying to escape, just trying to get out of the officers' hands- and the officer kept coming at him. When Patrick was saying ok, that he'd stop resisting, I believe he meant something along the lines of, "okay, I'll stop resisting you if you stop trying to hold me down and detain me for no reason," but neither one backed down. This incident escalated from the moment the officer first grabbed Patrick, which he had no reason to. A more appropriate response may have been to put one hand out flat and ask him to stand still, or perhaps ask him to calm down and take a seat on the curb. Maybe wait for a better answer other than "Yes", because that doesn't denote someone's ability to speak or understand an entire language. The officer took his entire basis for his interaction with this man on the understanding that he knew what he was saying, but it's highly possible that Patrick had no idea what the cop was telling him to do half the time, he only pushed the taser out of the way because he didn't want to get tased and you can hear him say it's not necessary. Even Patrick knew this officer was using too much force and was trying to minimize the damage done to him. In the end the officer could have known his body cam had gotten turned off accidentally, but knew at one point Patrick did have his hand on his taser and the camera captured it. So he kept yelling to let go of the taser so it would sound like he was trying to grab a weapon in the audio so he could shoot this man, execution style in the back of the skull. In reality Patrick was using his hands to try to keep himself off of the ground, they were in no position to injure the officer. He was face down on the ground, the cop could have reached for his cuffs and cuffed one of his arms, and fought with him some more until he got the other one behind him in cuffs. It's hard to see from the doorbell camera but it looks like the cop was pointing his gun at the passenger in order to command him to do that walk back to the squad car once he noticed that he was filming on his cellphone, when he thought he was out of the range of his squad car with no body cam and could get off with a lack of evidence to convict him of any wrongdoing. Who knows what that officer tried to intimidate the friend with for that footage too huh.
