“..can we change rods?” With a monster tuna on the line?🤦😂 silly sausage. Still you guys done great. They are something else those big bluefin aren’t they? It seems like they have made a really strong come back in the past 10-20 years. Hopefully their numbers continue to rise.

Also how do you spool your braid to prevent slipping I don't know if engetsu 150hg has non slip thingy can you make a video of that?
@MarkCotton5 күн бұрын
so tie the braid to the spool then put a bit of electrical tape over it so it hold it it place stops slipping

Awesome video! Are you guys using a Penn setup around the 20min mark? If so what size reel and rod specs? Looks like a slammer and an ocean assassin rod?
@ericguides24 күн бұрын
Right handle for left handed ppl right? Im using spinning reel, right handled bcos i need power handling the rod with left hand. But i wonder why shimano only make it with right handle while many anglers are right handed. Or for overhead reel, different case?

Awesome video. I am relatively new to the country. I heard Greymouth is awesome for Tuna, in august/september I heard. How deep do you need to go? is hokitika (like 40 miles offshore ? ) a good spot? crossing the bar is another challenge.

They are cheaper for a reason Mark. Tows like it's not even there up hills. Come on, please. I've just test driven a mitsi, a hilux, a ranger, a VW and a Nissan. Towed my 7.8m boat with them all found the Mitsi average with alot of lag. Anyway, that's my opinion. I'm thinking of going with either the VW or Ranger.
@MarkCotton2 ай бұрын
I don't talk shit about products if they are no good so don't go there, dude 🤬. Mitsi tows my boat easily up the hills guess I don't drive like a shit head thou!!!

Good on ya mate for doing something different for a change. Definitely one of your passions which is cool. Have you had the 770 on the scales in the same setup as you would tow it? Would love to know the weight please. Cheers Joe
