As Mike's days are coming to an end, he did a seven video rant spewing hate and lies about other ex Scientology instead of owning the horrific behavior and terrible terrible things he did to both adults and children as a Scientologist.

While I have nothing but sympathy for Yasmine Mohammed's tragic, traumatic story and fully support her right to leave Islam, I have concerns about her influence in the public sphere. In the past, she has said that "Islam is worse than Nazism" and compared the Muslim community to the KKK. It's all documented in an article called "The Far-Right Grift: Ex-Muslim Edition" in The Talon. She also doesn't mention that the Quran provides women with rights of inheritance and divorce that Western women wouldn't receive until centuries later, and that there is no mention of genital mutilation in the Quran. This is described by reputable and celebrated scholars of religion, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, such as Karen Armstrong and Irshad Manji. The Islamic world certainly has its problems and extremism is detrimental and dangerous in any faith or ideology. I appreciate that one doesn't have to be Muslim to object to these issues. However, there is also great potential for progress through the passages of the Quran that espouse rights for women, peace, solidarity and unity between different cultures, and acceptance of diversity, as well as the mystical Sufi movement that emphasizes a loving, merciful God, and progressive mosques that allow female leadership, advocate for women and the gay community, and encourage respect for other faiths. As a fan of this channel with many Muslim friends who has traveled extensively in the Islamic world and met many wonderful people, I think she needs to be challenged on these issues. Surviving trauma doesn't make one above critique or objection.

In the case of Maya, what do you think was happening to Maya then regarding her condition and her feet turning in etc.? Is it assumed that she was being poisoned in some way? In the documentary it showed that whilst Maya was isolated in hospital she was clearly not doing well and her condition was not improving at all - is it believed that her symptoms were mental or an aftermath of whatever she was being poisoned with? The documentary also showed Maya's health improving, so from a layman's perspective, it did look like she was suffering with CRPS and that the treatment she desired helped? Another point, I agree that Doctors should not be punished and sued for calling out when they feel abuse is occurring, however is Maya's case not more about how they isolated her from her family without any true evidence of abuse? The social worker in the film did not come across well at all.

The mother was an infusion nurse!?!? That's a whole other level of manipulation!! Wow. I never even consider this to be in the cult genre but it totally makes sense!!!

Trauma is insidious. We awoke today to (quite possibly) the greatest manipulation stunt, ever known in history. I'm curious as to what's the survival rate, for cult members, leaving, acknowledging and healing from their recruitment/entrapment? For me (personally), it takes roughly 1 year of honest - engaged therapy, per 10 years of trauma. And of this this is with time, money and resources on my side. Did you know that in the US alone, there's an estimated 16.3 million Americans, who are unable to make an executive decision. You better believe that trauma is the catalyst for CULTure. Keep up the outstanding work, as I enjoy learning the multitude of philosophical indices, that helps me with my personal self compassion journey!

I have noticed this also...they will defend liberal values in any sphere but not when the oppressor is of a particular identity. I doubt if Sam was making this argument about Scientology or an Evangelicals he would be upset. There has to be freedom to criticize bad ideas wherever they find a home.

I am former member of the Boston, Mass. and Houston, TX branches of this organization from 1999 to 2003. Things were exactly as Nikieta states in this podcast. Our journeys are very similar. When I and my husband brought our concerns to leadership, we were patted on the head. We warned the Houston evangelist at that time, that we were concerned about an individual’s interactions with kids in children’s ministry. Their response was to remove us from children’s ministry. We left soon after. Not long after we left, police arrested the individual we were concerned about. Said individual had been SA-ing the children of leaders and elders. We lost most of our so called friends from this organization.

But we do have our first Cult Conference in NZ this month with Yanja Lalych headlining!!! It is very expensive so my single mum budget will not allow me to go but I'm so glad the awareness is spreading!! I worked with children in care and would often have cult groups we would have to work out how to deal with and how best to intervene to keep the children safe!!

DECULT CONFERENCE 2024: Why Was EX-Jehovah's Witness Danny de Hek Silenced and Dropped? #DECULT kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXvRg52GpNWbotk REJECTED from DECULT CONFERENCE 2024: Why Was EX-Jehovah's Witness Danny de Hek Silenced & Dropped? kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaPOn4FnbKehbJo In this video, I share the unfortunate experience of being removed as a speaker from the upcoming DeCult 2024 Conference, despite already being publicly announced as part of the program. After receiving an email from Anke Richter, the event's director, explaining the decision, I felt compelled to respond publicly. This decision was made after members of the ex-Jehovah’s Witness (JW) community raised concerns about my inclusion in the event, resulting in DeCult's decision to retract my speaking slot. The reasoning? Concerns that my participation would keep a large portion of the ex-JW community from attending. While I understand the need to consider the audience’s comfort and safety, I believe this situation has been handled unfairly, as no one from DeCult approached me directly to hear my side of the story. In this video, I speak with Dennis Parker, one of the event co-organizers, via Zoom, where I express my frustration and disbelief at how this has unfolded. I’ve always aimed to use my platform to expose harmful organizations like Jehovah’s Witnesses, raising awareness of cult practices and helping people break free from controlling environments. I believe it’s ironic that DeCult, an organization dedicated to exposing harmful cults, is shunning me in a manner all too similar to the cult-like behavior we seek to expose. I’ve been deeply involved in exposing cults for years and have even done a successful interview with Lara Kaput, which DeCult themselves promoted. And the day of the committee meeting I conducted another interview with Rachel Lees - Interview with Lara Kaput - Ex-Jehovah’s Witness Whistleblower | DECULT Conference Preview - kzbin.info/www/bejne/emHTdWqeodiZiqc - Rachel Lees EXPOSES Cult Leader Bill Gothard's Downfall - DECULT Speaker Exclusive Interview: kzbin.info/www/bejne/roDFkoyXgLGGn5o Yet, despite this, more recent accusations have come forward that I’ve never had a chance to address with the organizers. It feels like an entire community has made a decision about me based on misinformation, and I wasn’t even given a platform to defend myself. Additionally, Rob Woolley, a colleague and respected figure from the Toastmasters and Rotary communities, wrote a heartfelt letter in support of me to Dennis Parker. In this letter, Rob highlights my professionalism and my ability to handle controversial topics with grace and humor. However, Dennis claims that this letter wasn’t passed on to Anke, leaving me even more perplexed as to how this situation has been handled. Key Points in This Video: I share the email from DeCult Director Anke Richter explaining their decision to remove me as a speaker due to concerns raised by the ex-Jehovah’s Witness community. My conversation with Dennis Parker, where I plead for a meeting with the DeCult committee to address these concerns and have my voice heard. My feelings of being treated unfairly and shunned, similar to the behavior cults impose on their members, ironically by an organization meant to fight against cult practices. A heartfelt letter from Rob Woolley supporting my character, professionalism, and ability to handle controversial topics, which was not passed on to the decision-makers. I believe everyone should have the chance to tell their side of the story before decisions like these are made. In this video, I ask for your feedback and invite you to share your thoughts on how this situation has been handled. Do you believe this decision was justified, or do you think I should have been given the chance to present my side of the story to the DeCult committee? Your input is valuable to me, and I encourage you to engage in the conversation. Let’s stand up against censorship, hypocrisy, and the very cult-like practices we’re working to expose. *CURRENT SPEAKERS LIST FOR DECULT CONFERENCE 2024* (27th Sep 2024) Dr. Janja Lalich, Dr. Gillie Jenkinson, Craig Hoyle, Caroline Ansley, Adam Dudding, Scott Homan, Sarah Steel, Ekant Veer, Tore Klevjer, Ulrike Schiesser, Luke Hollis, Lindy Jacomb, Maria Esguerra, Andre Afamasaga, Virginia Courage, Laura McConnell, Laura Muir, Bronwyn Rideout, Stephen Judd, Dennis Gates, Sunita Torrance, Anusha Bradley, Rachel Lees, Pearl Valor, Bec Sonkkila, Dhyana Levey, Ciaran Fox, Shayne Mechen, Natalie Malcon, Dave Booda, Lara Kaput, Adam Elmasri, Dr. Nicole Matejic, Micki McAllen, Ursula Cheer, Dr. Duncan Webb, Dame Sue Bagshaw. #DeCult #JehovahsWitness #Cults #Shunned #PublicSpeaking #ExJW #Conference #CultAwareness ------- THE CRYPTO PONZI SCHEME AVENGER WEBSITE: dehek.com PODCAST: podcast.dehek.com BOOKINGS: calendly.com/dehek KZbin: kzbin.info "If you found our collaboration helpful, I'd be grateful if you could leave me a Review! John wanted an excuse to live the life he would rather live, which is what people who leave the LDS church do. They don't leave to become better, to build up others, to testify of Christ and bring peace to the world. They fight, and use lies mingled with truth to deceive and lead away others, and to comfort themselves in the life they choose, rather than the truth.
