@manitoulin-offgrid2317Ай бұрын
@@rackman5111 generally farmers have large fields and since corn is pollinated by wind, there is a huge amount of pollen floating around and down onto the silks. From what I can see from your videos you two have a lot of money with all the toys you have, not everyone has spare dollars these days too invest in off grid living.
@manitoulin-offgrid23176 ай бұрын
We arent rich but what we do have we dont waste. We have always lived this way. We have no dept because we worked hard to keep it that way. I dont believe we have ever said that it's cheaper to live off grid. We chose solar so we didnt have to rely on someone else to supply our electricity. Believe me that it feels fantastic not to pay a hydro bill every month. I dont see how our situation is in the "honeymoon stage". We live the way we do and dont find it much more difficult than when we were hooked to the grid. Our lives are no different.
@manitoulin-offgrid23176 ай бұрын
@lenguindon5019 Jeff's kubota tractor and the mini ex are for his business so we would have them weather we were off grid or not. Our solar didnt cost anywhere near that amount and would have cost us that much to bring power to our property. The syrup is more fun than work so we dont mind. The pails and spiles cost less than half at a local hardware store. Off grid is certainly is not for everyone but it is definitely for us. We should have done it years ago.
