i gave you thumbs down, you didn't record no punk rocker/metalhead/goth or new romantics or skinheads while you were in the uk in the 80's all you video taped was normal geeks, who didn't paid any attention to you or your family, punks care, normal geeks don't..........i love England too, .....marius(punk rules) and yes I'm not american so you can guess where I'm from.

Lovely beautiful video my friend , also made me really resent what has happened to my country since Blair in 1997 , mass immigration from Asian/Eastern European country’s has ruined it, it would of been fine if the people were skilled and respectful professionals ,normal levels that doesn’t affect to culture or natives , this made me very sad and angry for more reasons than one , but truly thankful for the footage ,

I'm sure I was there, smoking a clove and doing the nasties in the back with someone I never met before. I can still smell the cigs and musty rugs. I remember that skinny dude who never left the pool table and the guy that sold drugs in the corner of the video room. Less than 2 years later from this show the club would be bought by a creep who made it top 40. I played here once in 1986. Shortly after it burned to the ground.

I’m a Londoner born and bred. I was 22 years old in 1985. I can confirm that in 1985 London was a filthy, poverty ridden, racist and dangerous shit-hole! Don’t let any of these wankers looking back through their rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia tell you anything different! Why had we had the worst riots ever in London only four years before?

For some reason it seems to me like it was easier and more likely to experience real, meaningful emotions back then. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we weren't given all useful information for the day by a small box in our hand.

I am sorry to learn of your loss George. One of my abiding memories from my teenage years was my friend's long haired male dachshund, Basker (as in hound of the Baskervilles!) who took great pleasure in lying on the back of the sofa and watching the world go by outside... but if any one approached the house he would bark ferociously! They are small dogs with a big heart, soul and presence. All dogs are very special and the memories that they create in your life are precious and indelible.

I'm 45 and love watching old videos of cities during the 70s, 80s, or even early 90s. I'm from London, but I enjoy looking at videos from other parts of the world during the same era, and thinking where I was during the time. In 1985, I was in primary school in Central London. For me, I think nostalgia adds to people longing for a return to this. If I travelled back to 1979-87, I'm sure after a few days, weeks or months of living in the time, the novelty would wear off. I'm sure, there were people moaning about the way things were in 1985, and how much better London was in the 1960s. The only issue I have with London now is, it just seems too busy at times, but I guess it was always like that.
