The high idle is actually good for your engine because it lubricates the upper part of the engine, idling is actually horrible for most all engines, the high idle is also useful for using accessories like a winch, plow, lift bed ect.

@@youaresoft-ee4ub yeah definitely sandblast and get all the chrome off and even then rocks chip the paint pretty easy , some people just scuff the chrome and paint right over it but in my opinion not the right way

I use 91% isopropyl alcohol from Walmart to remove oils and wax of the surface… I wipe up to 3x making sure all the wax is off

Instead of putting you key fob in the ignition just hold it near it, use your finger to start the truck. Then you have the entire key fob on you for leaving it running

I felt that, when I ordered mine they failed to tell me the boost bolt didn’t come with it as I had most of it done already. You would think a boost bolt would come with a boost gauge.

How do you get the exhaust brake on while idling ?

There is a button on center dash to manually turn it on, has to be cold enough otherwise it won’t come on though

@@Imoto23 i didnt know they would do that cold........ there has to be a mod that can be done that keeps the eb on conststly except for when your on the throttle hot or cold ?

@@troyhollen5645 some tunes will allow that memory of Eb, but on a hot summer day turning on the exhaust brake won’t do anything on idle because it doesn’t have to , between the idle up and EB acts as a warm up function

I just bought the front tow hooks for my ‘13 ram 2500. I want to clean up the area and paint the area where the hooks mount to. This was exactly what I needed to see in order to see how to remove the front bumper. Thank you for posting.

Apparently they have updated the software, and no longer requires Internet Explorer. It's not mentioned in the instructions, but mine worked fine with Edge.

I just finished installing it on my 2018 Ram 2500 Diesel. I had never done anything like this before, and it didn't take me over 30 minutes from start to finish! As long as you follow the instructions, it seems pretty hard to mess up. The connectors are all different sizes and colors, so there's no way to mess up the connections.

I’ve seen some operate that way and haven’t heard any issues , don’t really know of any bad issues that arise from it, I use mine here and there but not all the time

If you have a pto on your transmission to run hydrologic stuff like a dumo bead, the increase in rpms lets the pump run more efficiently.

I just had auto start installed in my diesel truck and it was amazing but now the heater doesn’t turn on with remote start until I physically put key in and turn key. Anyone else have this problem?

The heater does nothing at all until I put key in and turn it. The air blows warm when I turn key because I start the engine twice before actually getting in but still cold inside when I get out

@@Imoto23 I think cabin heat. The one that comes out of the vents inside. I leave all the dials turned on to red hot and to blow out air but it is not doing it automatically with auto start anymore. Which defeats the purpose of me getting it installed for Alaska haha
