4.2mm deep and the acrylic plate is 5mm thick. we have special drill to make this kind of slot for neon sleeve and led strip.

what kind of glue do you recommend for the silicone?

502 glue at the junctions. It does not need glue in other places (the neon sleeve fits inside the slot well).

@@XSTRON so its just a cyanoacrylate glue? I'll have to try it at home and see if it works. before i didnt think i was able to get silicone to stick to itself with superglue

@@jershy6640 we use special drill to make the slot (the bottom of the slot is wider than upper part). the bottom of neon sleeve is wider. so the neon sleeve fits inside the slot well.

it is ok to put the flexible neon LED strip inside the slot. But it is only suitable for simple logo/words (the angles can not be too sharp).
