this feels like something I might hear in somnium files or an old megaten game. definitely an acquired taste but i actually vibe with this song a lot

Glad you dig it! What's megaten? I absolutely adore videogame music so I have learned quite a bit of it. Probably starting to shine through in my style I suppose! Thanks for your thoughtful comment and for listening.
@akiren3029 күн бұрын
Megaten is the abbreviated name for [Shin] Megami Tensei, a very classic JRPG series dating back to the late 80's that still gets releases with major titles up to like, last year. If you know the Persona series, it's actually a spin-off series from the Megaten games. A lot of the early games are difficult dungeon crawlers where you recruit demons to join your party while traversing dungeons, and the games are recognized for having a darker tone compared to a lot of other mainstream JRPGs. This song sounds like something that might fit in with the PS1 / PSX era of the series. It feels like a track I might hear in Revelations: Persona as an example.
@JACKSONPRYORBENNETT9 күн бұрын
@@akiren302 oh I loved Shin Megami Tensei! We had one game from the series that I had played. I just had never heard that abbreviation before. I'm aware of Persona and have played some of the games for a little bit. What an excellent compliment! Just out of curiosity, what are somnium files?
@akiren3028 күн бұрын
Somnium Files is just a shorter way of saying Ai: The Somnium Files, a game by the people at Spike Chunsoft. It's a murder mystery visual novel, where you play as a detective who sometimes has to go into people's subconscious dreams in order to solve certain mysteries (in a 3D space). I was thinking CLOUD OF DREAMS felt like a song that might play in one of those dream sequences, the heavy distortion and general melody feels like something that would play in one of those segments, so that's what it reminded me of.
