when I found his anime, I was expecting the see the same stuff from the live action. I didn't see the 1990 version. Regardless, my cousin and I binge through the first half, then waited a few to finish the rest of the DvD.

Hell nah, even if TV touched self-existence problem, OVA still feel more about gore and drama when Sho was killed and ressurected. And no other adaptation even ever remembered about another Sho's clone from torned arm.

The "creators" sound a lot like the old ones from Warhammer 40k Universe who ceeated the ORKs and ELDAR to fight in wars for them...

I believe in those last moments, there was a struggle going on between Mr. Fuki and the Zoalord. A struggle that Mr. Fuki ultimately won that lead to the Enzyme making a critical mistake. Which gave the Guyver Unit the opening it needed to finish the Enzyme off. In short I wanna say that Mr. Fuki sacrificed himself for his son.

It’s messed up that this been up for over 10 years and only got a little over a hundred thousand views. Such an awesome series

Lol... In the episodes that the OVA already covered, everyone was complaining that this version was too tame and too soft... But as soon as we get to the previously unadapted part of the story, everyone suddenly loves this show 😂😂😂

This is the only instance where I prefer the OVA version. I love this version but it seems that they went out of their way to neuter the fight scenes (Until the Aptom rematch anyway) in favor of character development, which is a damn shame...

I feel like if it wasn't for the story extention there'd be 0 point to watching this series. The animation in this just has absolutely nothing on data 5, I'd go as far as to say data 5 is probably the best animated episode out of the entire original series. If they reboot this they really need to take it back to the standards of the ova.
